Ireland Baldwin calls Candace Owens a cancer after she calls 'Rust' shooting 'poetic justice'
Controversy's favorite child Candace Owens appears to have picked a bone with Ireland Baldwin now, thanks to her latest tweet on Alec Baldwin's shooting incident on the set of 'Rust'. On October 21, 2021, one of the prop guns used by Alec Baldwin misfired while filming his movie 'Rust'. It caused the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and also injured the director Joel Souza. Souza was shot in the shoulder and Hutchins was killed when the prop gun went off during a rehearsal at the Bonanza Creek Ranch in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Baldwin, a prominent critic of Donald Trump, has long been a target of Conservative Republicans, including Candace Owens. Though he was not charged in the accidental shooting incident, many social media users demanded that he be jailed for killing the 42-year-old cinematographer. Recently, Owens spoke out about the incident directly targetting Alec Baldwin on Twitter. In a series of now-deleted tweets, Owens said, "Alec Baldwin spent 4 years dedicated to painting Donald Trump and his supporters as evil murderers. What has happened to Alec would be an example of poetic justice if it weren't for the actual innocent people that were murdered by him. Pray for their families. So sad."

She further added, "Will correct that last tweet to say Alec Baldwin *killed* someone- not murdered someone, as murder carries a different legal definition. Literally, not one single thing that Alec Baldwin has said about Donald Trump and his supporters is going to age well."
The tweets did not sit well with many Baldwin fans who lashed back at her for trying to gain political leverage from the accidental death of Halyna Hutchins. Soon afterward, Ireland Baldwin took to social media to slam Candace Owens. In her Instagram story, Ireland wrote, "You are the most disgusting, hateful, cancerous human being I've ever come across."
She further remarked, "Regardless of your foul opinions most of the time, the fact that you would disrespect the life of a woman who was accidentally and tragically killed...Shame on you. Be a republican. Be unvaccinated. I don't give a f**k. There are plenty of liberal ones that I support as well... But one f***ing thing I find myself doing is being RESPECTFUL."
The 26-year-old model informed that she would be taking an Instagram break since the tiff with Candace Owens, as she is "ashamed to breathe the same air as this woman." However, she later shared a screenshot of what appeared to be a civil conversation with Owens, with the caption, "Some times having an actual conversation can go a long way."
Meanwhile, the tragic accident left a huge scar on her family and friends and now also actor Alec Baldwin. Following the fatal shooting, the star was reportedly "hysterical and absolutely inconsolable for hours." The star hasn't been seen in public since he was snapped consoling Hutchins' family on October 23 in a hotel in Santa Fe.
