Candace Owens accuses Dems of plotting 'overnight scam' in Georgia, Internet says 'counting votes is not scam'
Conservative activist Candace Owens accused Democrats of 'planning overnight scam in Georgia' while votes are still being counted in the state and warned that the election would end in court. She had taken to Twitter to make the comments while responding to how votes are being played out in Georgia.
In the tweet which has been hidden due to disputed content, Owens wrote, "They were planning an overnight scam in Georgia. Their confidence made no sense at the time, and it makes perfect sense now." She responded to a tweet written by Charlie Kirk who is the chairman of Students for Trump where he had said, "Something weird is happening in Georgia. Trump is up 300,000 votes with 83% reporting yet Democrats seem confident. Why?" Kirk added how poll watchers were needed in the state.
On Wednesday morning, November 4, the activist said kirk "called this correctly last night," as she claimed that the election would end in court. Over the past few months, Owens has spoken out about her support for Trump. She received mixed reviews on her tweet, with some social media users supporting her and others slamming her.
One supportive user had written, "Spot on @RealCandaceO! The fact that @Twitter is censoring your tweet makes it more true. #Elections2020 Corruption from the Democrat Party." Another user commented, "You called this correctly last night. They were planning an overnight scam in Georgia. Their confidence made no sense at the time, and it makes perfect sense now. This election will end in court."

Some did slam Owens for her comments and took to Twitter to share their sentiments. One such user had written, "please explain to me how it’s so hard for you idiots to understand that dems voted heavily by mail and the mail in ballots were counted last because of rules that have been in place long before today...you’re just admitting you have no idea how the election process works."
"In case anyone was wondering...counting votes is not an "overnight scam." Regardless of outcome, all votes should be counted. Anyone saying anything else is wrong. If you have evidence of fraud, let's see the receipts. Otherwise, zip your lips and wait. Qanon posts don't count," wrote another.

On Monday, November 2, she spoke to Fox News and said that Black Americans are looking to Trump for 'more opportunities' while the Democrats want to "keep them poor". Owens had said, "You want to put Biden back in office, he is the person along with Barack Obama who gave Black America more handouts."
"Donald J Trump is giving us more hand-ups. We don’t want more food stamps, we want more opportunities," she shared. Fox News host Maria Bartiromo had then pointed out that there were many rappers who had voiced their support for POTUS Trump such as Ice Cube, Kanye West, and Lil' Wayne.
According to Owens, these are 'the pioneers'. "It is much bigger than you could possibly imagine behind closed doors and there is something happening," Owens continued. "Time is up on the Democrat Party when it comes to Black America. You cannot come around every four years and say to black Americans, ‘You’re a victim, you’re a victim, you’re a victim, we’re going to help you’ and then the second we put you in the White House you turn around and pretend that we were never there."
