Cameron Champ made headlines on Sunday, July 25, after he won 2021’s 3M Open Tournament despite fighting sickness and dehydration during the game.
The 26-year-old golfer defeated the South African players, Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel, and Venezuela’s Jhonattan Vegas at the 3M Open 2021, which was held in the twin cities of Blaine and Minneapolis, as a part of the Professional Golfers Association’s tour. The three players he beat, tied for second place at the event this year. Some of the other golfers who recently made news are Gene Siller, Jazz Janewattananond, Cam Davis and Dan Bowling.

Who is Cameron's wife?
The golfer is married to Jessica Birdsong. The pair have been together for a couple of years now. Cameron proposed to Jessica in December 2019. They then got married a year later on December 3, 2020. On his wedding day, Cameron took to his Instagram, to post beautiful pictures from the ceremony, one of which he captioned, “My beautiful Mrs Champ.” Another read, "Dreams do come true."
Jessica is a leather artist by profession. She also owns an online store called Roots + Thistle. The Roots+Thistle Instagram handle, which gives us a peek into her work, has a little over 300 followers so far. It features Jessica’s artworks and creations. She creates custom-designed leather bags, hats, keychains and other decorative pieces. As for Jessica's personal Instagram account, it is private. Information about her educational background and her early childhood have not been disclosed.
Although the couple prefers to keep their personal life out of the prying eyes of the media, Cameron has shared pictures of him and his wife, the most recent one being on April 22 this year, which marked his wife's birthday. In the post, Jessica sat on his lap wearing her wedding gown as they both smiled for the camera. "Happy Birthday babe!! You’re the greatest thing that ever happened to me! I love you more than life itself, I get to wake up everyday feeling like the luckiest guy in the world! I love you and can’t wait to celebrate," he captioned the picture.
Cameron also posted a picture of the moment he got down on one knee in front of the Christmas tree and proposed to Jessica, who was his then girlfriend.
