Prince George and Princess Charlotte met cousin Archie for the first time two months after he was born, claims royal expert

The Cambridge children did not meet their cousin Archie—the firstborn child of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle—in the first two months of his life.

Kate Middleton and Prince William's children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis met Archie for the first time at a charity polo match their fathers took part in two whole months after Archie was born.

According to royal expert Emily Andrews, who spoke to Yahoo's Royal Box, the Cambridge children were first introduced to Archie at the Billingbear Polo Club in Berkshire earlier in July.

"It was interesting actually, that polo match, because it was the first time that Charlotte and George had actually met Archie," Andrews revealed.

Pictures from the event showed six-year-old Prince George standing next to Meghan Markle, 37, while 15-month-old Prince Louis appeared to be blowing a kiss to baby Archie.

"They hadn't actually met him for two months so that polo match was lovely," Andrews added.

While the Cambridge children met their cousin for the first time at the polo match, their parents Prince William and Kate Middleton are believed to have visited the baby at Frogmore Cottage just eight days after he was born.

"Yes, Kate and Will had been there to see Archie at Frogmore Cottage, but they hadn't taken their children with them. So that was the moment at the polo match where all three of the Cambridge kids got to meet Archie," Andrews said.

Baby Archie's grandfather Prince Charles and his wife Camilla also did not meet the child for several weeks after his birth.

The Cambridges and the Sussex family had come together to watch Prince Harry and Prince William play in a charity polo match.

It seemed like Prince George was keeping a watchful eye over his baby cousin and was seen hanging around new mother Meghan who was holding Archie during the match.

Princess Charlotte's interaction with the baby was not captured on camera though she was seen chasing a football around a field during the event.
