California's former first lady Maria Shriver's altered looks shocks the Internet
SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA — Maria Shriver raised eyebrows as she sported a new look while out and about over the weekend. The former first lady of California, was married to Arnold Schwarzenegger from 1986 to 2011.
She was photographed in Santa Monica while seemingly going makeup-free. The 66-year-old was seen in photos heading to her car after stopping by the construction site of her new home. Shriver appeared to be in great spirits, but her face looked considerably different than it has in recent years.

Photos obtained by Page Six showed the niece of the late President John F Kennedy keeping it casual in a pair of black leggings, a purple T-shirt, and a pair of gray sneakers. She used a claw clip to hold her long brunette tresses away from her face as she smiled for the cameras. The former journalist had two brown leather bags slung over her shoulder and carried what appeared to be floorplans for her new home. Some social media users reacted to the new look.

Speaking to RadarOnline, triple board-certified facial plastic surgeon Dr. David Saadat commented on Shriver's latest appearance. “Unfortunately, Maria Shriver had too many facial fillers and possibly PDO threads done to her cheeks, chin, and Nasolabial folds," Saadat told the outlet. "Her lips are overly filled and have migrated. Maria would benefit from resolving all the fillers and starting over. For someone her age, it would be recommended to get a facelift instead of more filler.” Meanwhile, another cosmetic surgeon Dr Michael K Obeng added, “It looks like Maria Shriver has had a brow lift also known as a forehead life. Also, a facelift ... looks like a facelift. Whoever did it pulled it so tight.”

Shriver married Schwarzenegger in 1986 in the Kennedy hot spot of Hyannis, Massachusetts. JFK's daughter Caroline served as the maid of honor to Maria, who in turn served as Caroline's matron of honor the following year. Shriver and Schwarzenegger welcomed four children over the course of their marriage, namely Katherine, 32, Christina, 31, Patrick, 28, and Christopher, 24. The former couple remained estranged for years after the journalist filed for divorce on July 1, 2011, after it emerged that the actor had fathered a son Joseph with their housekeeper Mildred Patricia 'Patty' Baena.
The divorce was finalized only last year, albeit both Shriver and Schwarzenegger dated other people in the meantime. The couple, who tied the knot at St Francis Xavier Church, in Hyannis, Massachusetts in 1986, had a reported net worth of $400 million but had to divide the estate in half as they had no prenup, according to The Blast.

It's worth noting that Joseph Baena was born on October 2, 1997 — just a couple of days after Shriver gave birth to the couple's fourth child, Christopher. However, it only emerged in May of 2011 that the housekeeper's child was his. Schwarzenegger said he wasn't aware that Joseph was his son until seven or eight years after he was born. In a 2017 interview with OBJECTified, the former governor was asked about the divorce filing and whether he'd had time to reflect on it. "I do not need any time to reflect, when I know it was a major, major screw up," he said at the time.
After the public fallout, Shriver got into a romantic relationship with political pundit Matthew Dowd, who was a strategist for Schwarzenegger during his re-election campaign for California governor. Meanwhile, the former Mr Olympia has been involved with a blonde physical therapist called Heather Milligan, who at 47 is nearly three decades his junior. Nonetheless, Schwarzenegger and Shriver have maintained an amicable relationship for the sake of their children, and are occasionally spotted getting together for family events.
