Ty Dolla $ign was arrested on his way to a concert at Cellairis Amphitheatre in Lakewood, Atlanta, and charged for the alleged possession of cocaine and marijuana. The 33-year-old was stopped along with six others around 4:55 p.m, in the 800 Block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. The artiste was scheduled to open for G-Eazy along with Lil Uzi Vert and YBN Nahmir at the concert before he was arrested.

Legally known as Tyrone William Griffin Jr., the rapper will be charged with possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and possession of cocaine, following which he will be taken to the Fulton County Jail once the charges are finalized.

According to what Officer Stephanie R. Brown of the Atlanta Police Department told HipHopDX, the police are in the process of filing charges. "At this time, it appears Griffin will be charged with possession of marijuana less than an ounce and possession of cocaine. Once the charges are finalized, he will be transported to Fulton County Jail. The other six were released without charges.”

According to witnesses who spoke with TMZ, Ty and his crew were pulled over in front of the Busy Bee Cafe located on the outskirts of the city. After the cops pulled out the passengers, they began searching the vehicle and discovered pot. In the video obtained by TMZ, officers can be seen searching the vehicle along with search dogs while Ty was being led to the police vehicle in cuffs.

Although charges have not been filed officially yet, a source informed that the Atlanta Police Department are presently on the scene. Blast reported that the other six occupants were released without charges.

However, this isn't the first time Ty has been charged with behaving inappropriately in public. In June the hip-hop singer had tried to get a blind woman out of her seat.

While traveling from Montreal to Ottawa, where he was supposed to perform later in the night at the Escapade Music Festival, he had approached a blind woman to tell her that he was allergic to her seeing-eye dog. Although the woman had offered an allergy pill, the rapper refused and denied consulting the desk regarding his allergy when the Air Canada staff intervened in the matter.

Since the woman already had priority over her seat, and Ty had not earlier mentioned anything about the allergy at the medi-care desk at the airport, he was asked to move to the back of the plane, which he again refused.
