Burning Sun Scandal is possibly one of the biggest scandals to break in the Korean entertainment industry and if we were to go by whistleblower Kim Sang-kyo's words, we have just touched the tip of the iceberg. Recently he claimed that Girls Generation member Kim Hyoyeon knew of what really happened in the club owned by Seungri as she was a DJ there. However, Hyoyeon took to Instagram to indicate that she will not take speculations lying down. Kim Sang-kyo has since addressed more claims in the interview that was uploaded on Garo Sero Research Institute's live stream video titled '[Exclusive interview] Burning Sun's Kim Sang Kyo!!! The identity of actress H and actress G!!!"

In this interview, Sang-kyo has said, "Hyoyeon might have gone home right after she DJ'ed, but she would have seen all the things going on behind the DJ booth. I think it's wrong to pretend not to have seen anything and not say anything about it."

This is in response to Hyoyeon's statement on Instagram earlier that had read, according to Allkpop, "Come on~. Everyone calm down~! You think I've been staying put because I haven't been active, but I've been working hard. I greeted some people, had a few drinks with my friends who came to congratulate me on my performance as well as staff because I felt happy, had pork belly with them, and went home! I think I saw men and women drooling on each other and hooking up in the club, but I never saw or heard any actors, actresses, cats, or dogs."

She added, "I'm going to endure you keyboard warriors only until today. I'm going to punish you hard this time. Also! I'll delete this tomorrow, but not because I'm scared. Isn't that what they say? If you don't speak up, people think you're a pushover. So! Happy New Year, everyone. Have a long and healthy life."

Furthermore, Sang-kyo also said that Hyoyeon was close with former BIGBANG member Seungri. He stated, "She was close with Seungri, so she should be aware of the relationship with those people (the actresses accused of drug administration at the club.)" All of his claims have only raised more questions regarding his credibility as a whistleblower by the public because he is refusing to reveal the other people who were involved in the scandal.

This has also caused a stir on social media sites where members slammed Sang-kyo for trying to sensationalize Hyoyeon's involvement instead of coming clean himself.
