For fans of the hit CBS drama 'Bull', the new year brought in unfortunate news of their beloved show coming to an end. The news had saddened many but unfortunately there was nothing to be done about its ending.

'Bull' which is based on the early career of Dr Phil McGraw has had a stellar run on the network for almost six years now with the series premiering in May 2016. With each episode having an interesting plot paired with a great cast, it was raking in high ratings and even competing with other hit CBS shows like 'NCIS' and more. How many episodes will 'Bull' Season 6 consist of?

Season 6 of 'Bull' is confirmed to have a total of 22 episodes, With 11 episodes left to air, the finale is slated to release in May. 



 

Why is the hit CBS legal procedural ending with the sixth season?

Early in January CBS itself confirmed that their hit show will be ending with Season 6 and released a statement that said “For six seasons, Bull has established itself as a ratings winner with its fresh take on the judicial process never before seen on television. We extend our thanks to the talented cast, Michael Weatherly, Geneva Carr, Yara Martinez, Jaime Lee Kirchner, Christopher Jackson, MacKenzie Meehan, the incredible creative team led by Kathryn Price, and Nichole Millard, and our hardworking crew, for bringing to life these innovative stories. We also thank our loyal viewers and look forward to providing them with a final run of compelling episodes filled with the humor, intelligence, and twists that have made the drama a fan favorite.”

Coming to why the show is ending, to put it plain and simple, the star of the show Michael Weatherly who plays the central character Dr Jason Bull is leaving the show to pursue other projects. Announcing the news on Twitter his tweet read, "Hello all! It’s been my privilege to play Dr Jason Bull but after 6 Seasons of incredible storylines, I’ve decided it’s time to pursue new creative challenges and bring his story to a close.  It has been an honor to work with this talented cast, crew, and writing/producing team who helped reinvent the legal drama. Stay tuned for a big series finish…Thanks to all the fans from the bottom of my heart. You will always be a part of our Bull family!".

'Bull' Season 6 Episode 12 is scheduled to air on February 24, 2022, at 10 pm ET, on the CBS Network.
