BTS star V's fans buy ad space on Dubai's Burj Khalifa for K-pop idol's birthday, here's how much it cost to do so
The BTS army knows that the month of December is special beyond the usual festivities, as it is Kim Taehyung aka V's birthday on December 30 and fans across the world have been gearing up in preparation. Of them, the Chinese fan base which goes by Twitter handle @KIMTAEHYUNGBAR_ have outdone themselves this year by taking out an ad about their favorite idol on the tallest building in the world - Burj Khalifa.
The Twitter handle posted, "2020 bday support PART 26. The Burj Khalifa. 12.29 18:50 (Dubai Time, 23:50 KST). Theme Song: Winter Bear By V. First support in the world’s tallest structure and the largest music fountain for a Kpop Star bday ad. Happy 26th bday. Birthday cake @BTS_twt @BurjKhalifa #KIMTAEHYUNG."
They also thanked their UAE counterpart for helping to get in touch with the Burj Khalifa authorities and said, "Special thanks to @KTH_UAE. Thank you so much for helping us contact The Burj Khalifa. So kind of you and all TaeTae Fans. May Tae Happy Birthday." The handle also posted the video of the ad and hinted that they were not done surprising Taehyung yet and wrote, "Hello Burj Khalifa. Our next bday support will be released soon @BTS_twt @bts_bighit #KIMTAEHYUNG #VPurPleYou."

Even as many on Twitter asked how the fans in China's fan club were able to afford this, one Twitter user wrote, "If ur wondering how china taehyung bar affords this... they raised over 7 million rmb (1 MILLION USD) for taehyung's birthday this year in just under 80 days... so." Another twitter user wrote, "HELP IT TAKES 68K DOLLARS FOR A THREE MINUTE AD ON BURJ KHALIFA BRO." One user also posted the cost of posting an ad on Burj Khalifa alongside the video of the ad and wrote, "Help this is the cost to display an ad on burj khalifa. Previously, V's fanclub had shown their love for the star by taking out an ad in Time magazine. They also organised the festival 'Like Winter, Like Spring' which was a parade that had taken place in the entire downtown area where the SBS Gayo Daejeon was held including Seoul and Daegu. The parade saw about 13 buses that measured 200 meters show off different activities by Taehyung and this was done with cooperation from the local transportation department. The designs also reflected a lot of Taehyung's journey since his debut days and in the seven years since.
A few days ago, Christmas got merrier for BTS V fans worldwide as V just dropped a festive special track ‘Snow Flower’.
