On the eve of BTS' Kim Taehyung's birthday, his fans ensured that he trends worldwide. Better known by his stage name V, Taehyung celebrates his birthday on December 30, turning 24 years old internationally and 25 in South Korea.

Fans of the South Korean boyband dominated Twitter as they used the hashtags #HappyBirthdayTaehyung, #BornToVLoved, #HappyVDay and #HappyTaehyungDay in order to celebrate his birthday.

"Happy birthday, V! Always be happy and continue being yourself, I love you," said a fan. Best wishes and blessings poured in from all across the world. "Kim Taehyung, Tae Tae, V, Taehyungie, Taehyungssie, Taehyungaah.. Always remember I LOVE YOU. Please be happy and be strong. Throw all your worries and just live/stay just the way you are. Happy Birthday," said another fan.

"Happy Birthday to one of the finest, most ethereal people I’ve ever seen. Taehyung, you’re gorgeous, inside and out, and your dedication is so pure and admirable. I purple you," said one. Purple became the unofficial yet official colour of the BTS ARMY after V first coined the phrase in 2016 — "I purple you." At BTS' 3rd BTS Muster, he asked the audience, "Do you know what purple means? Purple is the last colour of the rainbow colours. Purple means I will trust you and love you for a long time. I just made it up." he added that the colour purple relates to ARMY and BTS.

"I wish I could see you for a long time just like the meaning of purple,” he said. “We will always trust you and go up the stairs with you. You don’t need to help us all the time. You can hold our hands and follow us now. We’ll go up really high. I’ll make it nice," he had said.

Some fans even took it upon themselves to get back at critics and haters. "Anyways, it’s my favourite persons ever birthday I love Taehyung so please put your favourite picture of Taehyung in the comments and make this positive. BTS are on a plane flying to NYC and I do not want his mood ruined seeing all this when he first lands. it’s his birthday!"

But before fans wished him their best, the rest of the members of BTS - Jin, Suga, RM, and J-Hope, took to the official Twitter account to show their love.

"Happy birthday, winter bear #TaehyungBirthdayCongrats," RM had tweeted (according to a fan translation). A fan also translated Suga's wishes, "Taehyung-ah, who’s so funny these days, happy birthday #TaehyungBirthdayCongrats #ItsSugaHyung #HisSenseOfHumourHasSharpened #TheLaughterChiefOfOurVillage."
