BTS reactivates Bangtan Instagram account with pre-debut and baby pictures of RM and Army is over the moon
BTS continues to ensure their fans are never starved for content, proving that not even a lockdown can prevent them from taking care of their Armys. This time, they have chosen to reactivate an old Instagram account called 'Bangtan', which was the account they used prior to their debut. In addition to it being an absolute treat for their fans, the account also happens to feature some pre-debut photos of the boys, including some adorable pictures of leader RM as a young artiste ready to take the world by storm.
The account name 'Bangtan' stems from the group's name, 'Bangtan Sonyeondan', the full form of 'BTS' which translates to Bulletproof Boy Scouts. The group later expanded on their name in 2017 when they shared that BTS would also stand for 'Beyond the Scene' as part of the group's choice to shift their identity 'boy scouts' to a more mature one that better reflected their growing artistry and sound. The reactivation of the 'Bangtan' Instagram account naturally did not escape the hawk-eyed Army, who instantly began sharing the news with captions like, "Bangtan, the instagram account that they used during pre-debut days has been reactivated. Follow them Armys."
But fans also instantly noticed the account's content was a stream of pre-debut and baby photos of RM, showing just how far the BTS leader has come from his days as an aspiring trainee to being a global superstar.
One fan shared, "So... are you telling me that Bangtan reactivated their pre-debut account on Insta....? And all my baby’s pictures are there....." And as anyone would have predicted, the Bangtan account was soon racking up followers so fast it was hard to keep track. One fan shared, "The wayyy the followers are rising by 1-2k each second, they will reach 1m in no time." And they're right since the account has easily crossed the 600,000 follower mark and that counter is showing no signs of slowing down.
The Army has responded to the latest offering from BTS with a stream of emotional comments, including some that read, "DONTCRYDONTCRYDONTCRY," as well as sharing just how much the group means to them with comments like, "You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love you more than anything else I want you to know that. I’m so proud of you Bangtan."
In addition to the adorable photos of RM, which one fan pointed out revealed that "Namjoon was squishable since debut, very devastating," fans also spotted group "maknae" Jungkook in one image. One fan responded, "BABIESS," another mused, "Mi god, you grow up a lot," and another shared, "Look at our Kookieeee." Some fans also shared that they had long deleted Instagram but now find themselves compelled to get back on the platform, stating, "I'm so MAD I already uninstalled that damn thing. I might reactivate just to follow their accs."
Regardless of what new records the group breaks next, it's certainly heartwarming to get a glimpse of where they came from.
