Bruce Willis plays harmonica during 'impromptu jam session' amid battle with aphasia
Bruce Willis left admirers astonished with his charming musical abilities in a recent video. The ‘Pulp Fiction’ actor was seen playing harmonica in what his wife calls 'impromptu jam session' with musician and family friend Derek Richard Thomas in her Instagram post shared on Monday, August 15.
Bruce’s wife Emma Heming Willis, 44, took to her Instagram handle to share the heart-warming video with a caption of "Their talent is speaking for itself. I’ll just leave this here. #Jamsession." The monochromic video captures Bruce adorning a plaid shirt with jeans and sneakers. He can be seen sitting at the bottom of a staircase playing his harmonica while his friend Thomas strummed the guitar and handled vocals.

The veteran actor has a strong connection with music that goes back in time. Back in 1987, Bruce released an album titled 'The Return of Bruno,' which included collaborations with artists including The Temptations and The Pointer Sisters. The album featured many chart-busting songs including Respect Yourself, Young Blood, and a remake of Under the Boardwalk.
Before this video, Emma had shared an adorable image of Bruce hugging his daughter Rumer. Writing "Beedub & that first born love," Emma gave a glimpse of her daughters Mabel Ray Evelyn, and Rumer's day out with their father. They were even seen performing music onstage together at the Los Angeles venue Jam in the Van in May.
The ‘Die Hard’ actor recently announced his retirement from acting following an aphasia diagnosis. His relatives, including his wife Emma, ex-wife Demi Moore, 59, and five daughters Rumer, 34, Scout, 31, Tallulah, 28, Mabel Ray, 10, and Evelyn, eight, issued a joint statement via Instagram on March 30 announcing his aphasia diagnosis. The statement read, "The veteran actor has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities. As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him. This is a challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion, and support." They continued: "We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him. As Bruce always says, 'Live it up' and together we plan to do just that."
