Bruce Springsteen shares major health update amid painful battle with peptic ulcer disease
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bruce Springsteen expresses appreciation for his fans' understanding as he had to postpone several upcoming concert dates.
The 74-year-old 'Dancing in the Dark' singer recently rescheduled all of his 2023 tour performances due to an ongoing struggle with peptic ulcer disease, a painful stomach illness.
Springsteen described the condition as incredibly challenging in a recent episode of his SiriusXM E Street Radio show, 'From My Home to Yours', that he continues to grapple with the painful symptoms of the illness.

What did Bruce Springsteen say about his current health struggle?
“I am deeply sorry but this belly thing, despite my ability to laugh at it, has been a monster and is still unfortunately rocking my internal world," he stated, after introducing himself as “your favorite rock star with a b***h of a bellyache!" at the start of the Monday, October 9 episode.
But he still made sure to show some appreciation to his fans for sticking by him, despite the disappointing news about his postponed concert dates.
“Let me take a moment and thank my fans affected by our postponed shows for their understanding,” he said, referring to the slew of shows that have now been pushed to 2024.
Last month, it was disclosed that Springsteen and The E Street Band would not be performing the remaining dates on their 2023 tour schedule as a precaution while the singer received treatment for his condition.
An earlier statement revealed, “Bruce Springsteen has continued to recover steadily from peptic ulcer disease over the past few weeks and will continue treatment through the rest of the year on doctor's advice.”
The statement further read, “With this in mind, and out of an abundance of caution, all remaining 2023 tour dates for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be postponed until 2024.”
In the statement, Springsteen acknowledged, “Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement, and support. I'm on the mend and can't wait to see you all next year,” he said.
Springsteen continued, “We’ll be back to pick these shows up and then some. Thank you for your understanding and support. We’ve been having a blast at our US shows and we’re looking forward to more great times. We’ll be back soon."

The replacement dates for the postponed concerts scheduled for 2024 have been released by Springsteen's camp.
The additional dates are split into two groups: a month-long swing from mid-March to mid-April, then a second month's worth of performances from mid-August to mid-September.
All of Springsteen's postponed US dates are included in this release of events. The notice states that he will announce the makeup dates for the Canadian shows, which were also just postponed, next week. He has not yet done so.
