Brooke Shields, 54, shows off her hot bod in blue bikini with a nod to her iconic film: 'Another blue lagoon'
Brooke Shields looks like she stepped off the set of 'The Blue Lagoon' in her latest social media posts. The 54-year-old flaunted her toned body in a recent Instagram post.
In the photo, she is seen emerging from the ocean decked in a skimpy, navy blue bikini. Shields captioned the image, "Another blue lagoon."
Shields is currently on vacation at an unknown tropical destination which she referred to as "paradise" on her Instagram. She recently revealed on social media that her toned body is the result of lots of hard work and dedication in the gym.
Just last week, she shared a few clips of her exercising and said, "Getting one more workout in before the holidays. It's been a long road from my knee surgery last year to now – I've learned so much about my body and I’m excited to share more of my wellness journey with you."
Around last month, Shields spoke to People magazine at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards and opened up about how she taught her daughters — 16-year-old Rowan Francis and 13-year-old Grier Hammond about being confident of their bodies.
She shared, "Their bodies are so important to them. Whatever you say is heard, so you have to really be careful how you say whatever it is you’re saying to girls in particular. I really have to be like, ‘How would this sound if it was said to me at 13?' I celebrate the differences in their bodies."
The supermodel has been candid about her own personal struggles with her body image. She was seen on Dr. Oz in October where she admitted to a "disconnect between my head and my body" as a child. "I'm now starting to celebrate my body in a way that I never felt free to do as a kid," she revealed.
Shields started her modeling career at the age of 14 and became the youngest ever model to grace the cover of Vogue magazine.
