Brooke Mueller's twin sons are living with their grandmother as she checks into trauma center for substance abuse
Charlie Sheen's ex-wife Brooke Mueller is getting some professional help as she battles substance abuse. As she gets professional help, her loved ones have stepped in to help her cope. Mueller's addiction was highlighted when a video of her preparing to smoke what seemed like crystal meth began doing the rounds.
As reported by PEOPLE, a representative for Mueller shared, "Brooke has voluntarily checked herself into a trauma center on the East Coast and is under the care of professionals."
A source close to the mother of two shared that her twins - Bob and Max, 10, are being looked after by their grandparents while Mueller is away from home.
"The twins are doing fine and are living with their grandparents during this period," the source shared.
The source further added that Mueller has been at the trauma center for the past couple of weeks and is responding well. The rep also shared that Mueller is "committed to getting better" and is doing everything she can to tide over the recent troubles.
Reports of Mueller volunteering to look for help fcomes after Page Six released a footage which shows Mueller preparing to smoke what looks like crystal meth inside a van.
As per the video footage, a woman who was identified as Mueller is seen squatting on the floor of the van holding what seems to be a drug pipe. She can be heard asking the person filming, "Just how am I gonna wake up tomorrow, and who’s gonna drive me? That’s why it had to be you guys. That’s why I thought you guys were doing it. I’m not gonna be able to wake up with — this is what you don’t get."
The outlet had reported that the footage had been taken on July 2018 and was reportedly circulating for a while. It was just last month that a source shared with PEOPLE that Mueller had relapsed. The actress shares her two children with her former husband Sheen. A source added that when Mueller is traveling, her mother and her mother's husband look after the children. Mueller and Sheen had filed for divorce in 2010 after he got arrested for domestic violence in 2009.
