LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: After Britney Spears sparked concerns among her fans by showing off her sleek dancing skills wielding knives, police visited the singer for a welfare check.

Following the welfare check, Spears put up another display of her dancing skills holding knives, making her fans even more worried.

TMZ reported that the initial call for the welfare check was made by a member of the LAPD Smart Team.

The police told the publication that they don’t conduct a welfare check if a fan asks for one. They claimed that a person who knows Britney asked for the check and was concerned about the Grammy-winning singer.

The news outlet reported that when the deputies of the Ventura County Sheriff's Department arrived, they learned that Britney was fine. However, she didn’t want to talk to the cops.

Initially, Spears worried her fans when she appeared to have a gash on her thigh and a bandage wrapping a portion of her right arm.

She posted the initial set of videos with the caption, "I started playing in the kitchen with knives today 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ !!! Don’t worry they are NOT real knives !!! Halloween is soon 🙈🙈🙈 !!!"

On September 29, she posted another video where her gash was, however, invisible. She composed a long message along with the post.

The mother of two wrote, "I know I spooked everyone with the last post, but these are fake knives that my team rented from Hand Prop shop in LA. These are not real knives."

She continued, "No one needs to worry or call the police. I’m trying to imitate one of my favorite performers Shakira … a performance I was inspired by !!!"

She concluded, "Cheers to us bad girls who aren’t afraid to push boundaries and take risks 💅🏼💅🏼💅🏼!"

Videos leave Britney Spears' fans worried

The news of the cops conducting a welfare check on Britney soon went viral.

While a faction of the fans were worried for Britney, others pleaded to leave the songstress alone.

One fan voiced their frustration and said, "People need to stop worrying about what other people do with their lives and just worry about your damn self."

Someone else said, "Welfare check? Great. Hollywood millionaires are now bilking the welfare system on the taxpayers' dime."

A third fan commented, "This looks potentially tragic. She needs our prayers. God bless her."

"Maybe she's practicing for a new video.. damn leave the girl alone," someone else said.

Another disgruntled fan said, "She needs to be left tf alone and they can be doing something useful like they should too!"

As a furor regarding Britney's frightened pet flooded the Internet, another fan said, "Hope animal control visits as well."

Britney Spears announces her book’s release date

In a change from her usual dance videos, Spears took to the social media site to announce the release date of her memoir ‘The Woman in Me’.

She posted the close-up video on Instagram with the caption, “I’m putting the finishing touches on my book, “The Woman in Me” in book stores everywhere and Amazon, on October 24th!”

She echoed the same while addressing the audience directly and said, "Ok guys, so my book, The woman in Me, is coming out October 24th. I'm doing the finishing touches on it right now and I hope you guys like it. It's coming soon."

The video was met with immense excitement as fans can’t wait to get hold of their icon’s memoir, which will talk about "freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope,” per Daily Express.
