Britney Spears' teenage son Jayden Federline has come out to reveal that he hadn't seen his mother doing any music in recent times and she might just "quit" the industry.

Jayden Federline, 13, the younger of Britney's two sons with rapper and DJ Kevin Federline, took to social media for an Instagram Live session on March 3, where he answered numerous questions from followers about himself, his mom, and his family.

Speaking from his bedroom at his dad's California home, Jayden responded to a "Free Britney" question in a 15-minute clip and promised to provide further details when he got more Instagram followers and became more popular.

"What’s going on with my mom? I’ll tell you guys the whole story about my mom and stuff if I get 5,000 followers on my Instagram," he said. "That stuff will come out way in the future [when] I get really popular."

One of his followers asked if Britney, 38, who quit her Las Vegas residency a little over a year ago, was planning to release any music any soon. He suggested that was not in her plans now, or possibly even the future.

"Actually I haven’t seen her doing a lot of music at all," he said. "I don’t think that … I don’t know, dude. I don’t even know. I remember one time I asked her, I said, 'Mom, what happened to your music?' and she was like 'I don't know, honey. I think I might just quit it.'" "I'm like, 'What? What are you saying? Like, do you know how much bank you make off of that stuff?'"

Jayden was asked if his mom was "being controlled" in her conservatorship. "No. I don’t know," he replied. Britney has been under a conservatorship — which means she is not in complete control of her finance and other important life decisions — for close to 12 years after suffering a mental breakdown in 2007 that saw her act erratically in public, and famously, shave her head.

Her father, Jamie Spears, 67, was appointed her co-conservator in 2008 along with a lawyer, Andrew Wallet, who has since resigned. The 13-year-old did not mince his words when it came to the former, who he described as a "jerk" and a "pretty big d$%k."

His animosity towards his maternal grandfather stems from an August 2019 incident where the older man was involved in an altercation with his 14-year-old brother Sean Preston. The incident eventually saw his dad, Kevin, take out a restraining order against his former father-in-law. "I have the best dad ever," Jayden said. "My dad’s literally Jesus."
