LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears has reacted to her sister Jamie Lynn Spears’ abrupt departure from the British reality show 'I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!'

A source close to the pop star told Daily Mail that Britney was "disappointed" by her sister’s move, but not surprised by her family’s unprofessional behavior. 

Jamie Lynn Spears left the show after 72 hours

The insider also claimed that Jamie Lynn Spears only joined the show for a quick paycheck and had no intention of staying longer than 72 hours, which was the minimum time required to get paid.

They claim that the 32-year-old actress did not have any medical issues.

However, "Britney is disappointed, but nothing surprises her anymore when it comes to her family’s unprofessional behavior," a source told the publication.

 "Jamie Lynn knew damn well going into this that all she had to do was last 72 hours and she was going to get paid. So that is what she did," the source further said, adding "She never intended on staying any longer than this. This was just a quick paycheck for her – same as the Special Forces was."

Jamie Lynn Spears claims she is taking time to recover after quitting the show

In a contrary claim, Jamie Lynn stated on Instagram she was taking time to recover with family after quitting the show while also thanking people for allowing her into their living rooms. 

The 32-year-old said, "I can't wait to share with y'all everything about this once in a lifetime experience, but I don't even know where to start when trying to describe what an incredibly special time and place I had with some of the absolute best humans I have ever met and consider family now."

"Thank yall for welcoming me into your living rooms night after night, and for supporting me through all the highs and lows. I'm am so grateful for this show, and all of the wonderful people apart of it!," she added.

"I will be taking some time to recovery and spend time with my family, but looking forward to sharing all about my journey on @imacelebrity with everyone! Love yallll," she continued.

During the November 21 episode, she told her campmates she was finding it difficult to be so far away from her family.

Jamie Lynn Spears will not be replaced on the show

Jamie Lynn Spears’ exit was announced on Wednesday night, November 29, episode, with the show’s producers saying she left on medical grounds.

They praised her for being a "fantastic campmate" who "triumphed" at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities.’

She is the second celebrity to quit the show this year after food critic Grace Dent left on Tuesday, November 28, for the same reason. It has been reportedly confirmed that neither of them will be replaced on the show, which is set to end on December 12.
