'Beautiful surprise': Britney Spears says she had NO IDEA Selena Gomez was attending her wedding
Britney Spears' Instagram may be anything but dishonest and pretentious! Taking to Instagram, the Grammy-award-winning singer, 40, penned an emotional and heartfelt note for Selena Gomez, 29, and the importance of 'Wizards of Waverly Place' in her life. Showering her with umpteenth praises and multiple compliments, she posted a picture of hers in a khaki jacket and airbrushed skirt. Britney kindled her 'Same Old Love' for the youth icon and compared her to her mother, Lynne as well.
Confessing that she did not know of Selena's attendance at her wedding, she said it was a "beautiful surprise" to have her around, along with actress Drew Barrymore and media personality Paris Hilton. Britney was all hearts as she wrote about Selena asking her to be happy at all times and called the trio "the three most beautiful women in Hollywood." Britney and Selena have known to be friends, and the latter had also sent Spears a care package when her conservatorship trial was at its peak. Continuing her note for Gomez, Britney said that Selena's caring attitude towards her was very mother-like.

"It was so cool she was able to get to me and share her thoughts 💭… Although I've been forced to see people against my will my whole life ... she was a beautiful surprise !!!" she added. Apart from this, Selena Gomez has always been very vocal about her mental health and therapy. She regularly conducts talks and speaks about her previous experiences with anxiety and lupus. Gomez also spoke of these vital issues at the Whitehouse in May this year. She co-founded a mental health media company with her mom called WonderMind. Britney also talked about how significant her contribution is to everyone in this generation.
Britney's appreciative post ended with a note comparing Selena to Lynne Spears. Upon being asked how she felt about Britney's wedding, Lynne just said, "All she wanted for me [Britney] was to be happy," the Princess of Pop wrote. In the past, however, she has not said the best things about her mother, including the fact that she gave her father the idea to start conservatorship. "She secretly ruined my life," Britney wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post. She has called her family rude and humiliating as well.
