Where is Panic! at the Disco's Brendon Urie now? Trolls blame him for everything including One Direction split
The lead vocalist of Panic! at the Disco — Brendon Urie — has been slammed after allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced against him and the band’s security guard Zack Hall. The only remaining member of the band, he has been targetted by trolls on the Internet quite often since then.
Recently, social media users came together to target him in a barge of tweets where they started a hilarious meme thread and blamed him for everything — from global warming to bands like The Beatles and One Direction breaking up as well as the coronavirus pandemic. The mysterious trend surfaced suddenly and spiked up in no time. Surprisingly, there seems to be no clear indication of how it originated.

normalize blaming brendon urie for things he didn’t do
What are Internet trolls saying?
Apparently, one of the first few tweets was “normalize blaming Brendon Urie for things he didn’t do” and a few others compared his exit to Ryan Ross. Here are the other tweets that started floating on social media.
“Brendon Urie is the reason One Direction broke up,” one tweet read and another said, “You heard it here first, Brendon Urie caused the great recession.” A third posted, “Brendon Urie is making the polar bears go extinct.” Another tweet said, “Brendon Urie is the reason we didn't get the Two Ghosts mv.” One went on to say, “Brendon Urie is the reason Pluto is no longer classified as a planet.”

Where is Brendon Urie now?
Born in St George, Utah, he was two when his family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. The fifth and youngest child born to Grace and Boyd Urie, he dubbed himself a “spaz in high school,” and confessed he was bullied by a student. A chance meeting with Brent Wilson during guitar classes helped Urie join as the lead guitarist for Panic! at the Disco in 2004. Ryan Ross was the lead singer at the time.
The band releases blockbuster albums and Urie also collaborated with Taylor Swift. However, he hasn't been active on Instagram since June 2 after he posted a long message. Read the post here:
Although he hasn't been active on Instagram, The Things reports he was seen on Twitch, where he reportedly live-streamed on November 1 and 8. In the former stream, he confirmed his firing of Zack and said during the stream, “So, Zack has been removed from his current position with Panic! At The Disco, alright? Some of the things recently brought up from the past have definitely crossed the line, and… I am taking this very seriously, alright? Because nobody who works with this band can ever act inappropriately towards fans, period.”
If reports are to be believed, Brendon later apologized to his fans and said Zack is still his friend as he believes in second chances. Only time will tell if he makes a public statement any time soon.
A look at his scandalous past
Back on August 13, 2020, #BrendonUrieSpeakUp started trending as fans urged the lead vocalist of Panic! at the Disco to address sexual misconduct allegations. In a new string of tweets on August 25, supporters of the 33-year-old singer-songwriter started the hashtag #WeStandWithBrendonUrie.
An advocate of the LGBTQ+ community, he officially came out in 2018 as pansexual. Reportedly, he told Pink News, "Yeah, I guess you could qualify me as pansexual because I really don't care." Moreover, reports say he made a donation of $1 million to GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network), an organization focused on creating inclusive and safe environments in schools.
