Brendan Fraser looks dapper as he attends 'The Whale' screening with sons Leland, 16, and Holden, 18
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Brendan Fraser made a rare red carpet appearance with his two sons at the screening of his most recent film 'The Whale' on Tuesday, November 29, at the Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York City. The 53-year-old actor was accompanied by his children - Leland, 16, and Holden, 18 - whom he shares with his ex-wife Afton Smith.
The teenagers have a striking resemblance to their famous father and look exactly like when the star was a young Hollywood pin-up in movies like 'Encino Man' from 1992 and 'George of the Jungle' from 1997. Make-up artist and Fraser‘s longtime girlfriend, Jeanne Moore also attended the screening.

Fraser looked dapper in a dark blue suit with red pinstripes. He complemented his look with black thick-framed spectacles, a white shirt, a tie in a similar dark blue color, and a pair of shiny black shoes for the red carpet event. Sadie Sink, Fraser's on-screen daughter in 'The Whale', posed next to him as she wore a strapless black dress and black pumps.
The younger sons of Fraser arrived at the red carpet in much more laid-back attire, with redhead Leland choosing a black coat, black pants, and brown shoes over a black shirt with maroon accents while Holden chose a dark blue suede coat over a grey turtleneck, black slacks, and brown shoes. Jeanne Moore arrived on the red carpet in style wearing a stunning blue gown and her blonde hair up in a bun.
Fraser also posed with 'The Whale's creative team, which includes author Samuel D Hunter and director Darren Aronofsky. 'The Whale' is based on Hunter's 2012 play of the same name.
The narrative centers on Fraser's character Charlie, who seeks to get back in touch with his daughter Ellie (Sink), 17, after having abandoned her and her mother for another man, several years ago. Charlie overate due to his relationship with the man, who would ultimately pass away. He eventually end up reaching a weight of 600 pounds.
Earlier this year, Fraser was brought to tears and was emotional after a six-minute standing ovation for his film at the Venice Film Festival. The footage of Fraser soaking it all in was recorded and has since gone viral on Twitter. The film's early screenings have also received positive responses. This further generated a buzz about Fraser entering the race for Best Actor at the Academy Awards. If it turns out to be true, it would be the first Oscar nomination for the veteran actor.
