'Dirty John' Season 1 becomes second highest-rated scripted series on cable
Bravo may not have won at the Golden Globes this year for 'Dirty John' but that doesn't mean it wasn't one of the best shows that last year could have given us. Impeccable performances with an absolutely gripping story, the series finale in January went on to become the highest rated episode of the series among all key demographics. It not only grew in double-digits versus the prior week’s episode but also came into the league of shows like 'The Walking Dead' becoming the second highest-rated scripted series on cable.
'Dirty John' also had the largest rating growth (based on impressions) from premiere to finale among all new cable scripted series across all key demographics from its release to its finale. From the premiere episode to the finale the audience grew +1.2 mn in total viewers. The podcast turned TV show outperformed shows like 'Vikings' from History and HBO's 'True Detective'. The show also ranked second in the P18-49 behind FX’s 'Mayans MC'. Inclusive of total TV audience across the first month when the first three episodes aired, 'Dirty John' delivered 3.9 million total viewers on average, increasing, according to Nielsen.
