BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA: A Florida man was shot dead outside a Brevard County McDonald's after he attacked a man who was eating his meal inside a truck, authorities said. The Brevard County Sheriff's Office noted that the attack took place at around 8.30 pm on Sunday, December 10 when Brandon Turner, 36, approached a car in the parking lot of the Port St John fast-food restaurant and started throwing punches at the driver.

Turner tried to pull him out of the truck through an open window. Investigators say the driver, who was a licensed gun owner, pulled out his firearm and fired one shot at Turner. “We got a caller on the line. Advises that they had shot someone. That a male had come up and started punching him in the front seat of his truck so he shot him in the chest,” voices over law enforcement radio said, according to WESH 2.com. The attack was unprovoked, as per reports.

In a similar incident last September, a man was shot while sitting in a car at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Orlando. As per the state police department, the shooting happened around 11 pm at the McDonald’s at John Young Parkway and Colonial Drive. Orlando police said the victim was struck in the buttocks and was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center. It’s unclear if the shooter walked up to the man’s car or if the gunshot came from another vehicle.

In another incident, a 17-year-old boy was left seriously injured after being shot by a rookie police officer in San Antonio.
