Why did Brad Raffensperger's interns dodge Donald Trump’s calls? Internet compares it to 'Jerky Boys Prank Calls'
President Donald Trump's infamous call to Georgia Secretary of State on Saturday, January 2, is gaining momentum with each passing day as several details are being made public. While Brad Raffensperger himself told on 'Good Morning America' that he believes Trump may face criminal charges in Georgia following the call pursuing him to "find" more votes, its now been revealed that his interns treated the president's calls as 'Pranskter Calls' and dodged it at least '18 times'.
Raffensperger's deputy Jordan Fuchs told the Washinton Post that Trump's calls were divereted to the interns in the press office, who treated it as a call by a prankster.
According to the Daily Mail, "A source said that the call came after 18 separate attempts by the White House to get Raffensperger to speak to Trump, which he had turned down." Meanwhile, Raffensperger told on the morning show, addressing the President's desperate attempt to make calls to the Georgia officials, "I never believed it was appropriate to speak to the president".
What did Trump say on the call?
The Trump Tapes drew a lot of attenton owing to the POTUS' plea to overurn the eletion results in Georgia in an hour-long call. He reporteldy told Raffensperger on the call, "“All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have. Because we won the state." "The people of Georgia are angry, the people in the country are angry. And there's nothing wrong with saying that, you know, um, that you've recalculated," he added further.
He went on to ask Raffensperger and his general counsel Ryan Germany, who was also on the call, "Do you think it's possible that they shredded ballots in Fulton County? Because that's what the rumor is. And also that Dominion took out machines. That Dominion is really moving fast to get rid of their machinery. Do you know anything about that? Because that's illegal."
Donald Trump trolled for his 'political disaster'
As soon as it was revealed that Trumps call concerning voters fraud was treated as a meer prank, twitter users surfaced on the platform to troll POTUS yet again.
One tweeted, "Doing a reverse prank phone call by getting Donald Trump to call me to "fix" the election results but I just keep playing really loud farting noises on my computer in the background while agreeing to whatever he says"

Adding to the above tweet one wrote, "Trump's #GeorgiaCoup call sounds as ridiculous as a #JerkyBoy prank call in the '90s. Except @realDonaldTrump is President. Attempting sedition. Trying to steal an election. #punitivedamagesyouregivingme@MichaelRapaport" One tweeted, "Raffensperger's interns can be forgiven for thinking that the notion of Donald Trump calling their office *18* times was so absurd that it could only be a prank. Turns out the calls weren't a joke. The President, on the other hand, IS a joke."

Despite all the gaffe, Trump, who vistited Georgia today, Januaury 4, spoke at the GOP rally and continued to claim that the election was fradulent. The Guardian has reported that Trump speech was leaning towards proving the legitamacy of the November electons, rather than his support for the Republican senators.
