Brad Pitt won his first-ever Oscar this year for his role in 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood' and he children couldn't have been more proud. For anyone from the industry, getting an Oscar is a matter of pride and it looks like Pitt's children are well aware of the significance the Oscars holds.

“Brad’s kids aren’t usually interested in the awards or much to do with his industry but an Oscar is a big deal and they know he won and they all messaged him to congratulate him,” a source close to the family said.

Pitt and Angelina Jolie's children, Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 11, were also happy their father gave them a shout out during his speech. "They loved that he gave them a shout out, that was a sweet moment for everyone,” the source told Hollywood Life

The source continued, “The older they get the more they appreciate what incredible talents their parents are. They know they are blessed and lucky to have Brad as their dad. But at the end of the day, they’re still kids and he’s still just dad to them, not Brad Pitt the Oscar winner, they keep his feet on the ground.”

Pitt was also excited for his win as he stated during the Oscars, "Really incredible to have received this. The honor of honors. It is all about Quentin Tarantino, you are an original and the film industry wouldn't be the same without you. Thank you for giving me a chance to play Cliff Booth."

He continued, "They told me I only had 45 seconds this year, which is 45 seconds more than the Senate gave John Bolton this week." He also thanked his co-star, Leonardo DiCaprio, in the speech as he said, "Rest of the cast and crew, I also want to say its time we give it to our stunt co-ordinators. I'm not one to look back, but this is for all the wonderful people I've met. This is for my kids, I adore you."
