Brad Pitt clasps Kim Kardashian's hand and leans in to talk to her as they catch up at the Oscars after-party
Coming off a night that saw him walk away with an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in 'Once Upon a Time... In Hollywood', Brad Pitt found himself in high demand at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
Pitt, 56, was snapped catching up with several fellow actors and celebrities, including Kim Kardashian, who he seemed especially pleased to meet. He was photographed smiling and clasping her hand in both of his and then leaning in to exchange a few words with the reality TV star.
Kardashian seemed completely into the conversation as well, holding eye contact with the A-lister as they talked. Standing beside them was Pitt's 'Once Upon a Time...' co-star Margaret Qualley, who was flashing a broad smile.
Pitt's conversation with Kardashian was not out of the norm since he's said to be good friends with her husband, rapper Kanye West. Pitt also managed to catch up with Kanye at the same party, and a source told Us Weekly that they exchanged pleasantries.
"They hugged hello and caught up," the source said. "Kanye congratulated Brad on his Oscar win and they seemed happy to see each other and they shared a mutual respect for one another. They had big smiles and looked like they were joking around afterward."
"Kanye and Brad are friends and both deeply admire each other as humans and in a professional and artistic sense," a second source added. "They both have a similar sense of humor and get along and always like seeing each other."
The party, hosted by Radhika Jones at Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, is where Hollywood's biggest names turn up after the Oscar ceremony, and Pitt was seemingly the biggest of them all.
The 56-year-old has come off quite the award season, winning the Best Supporting Actor award for 'Once Upon a Time...' not just at the Oscars, but also at the Screen Actors' Guild Awards, the BAFTAs, and the Golden Globes.
Among those lining up for a picture with the star were Elizabeth Banks, filmmaker Spike Lee, actor and producer Adrien Brody, singer-songwriter Tyrese Gibson, Minnie Driver, and Tiffany Haddish, who had joked two years ago that she would be his 'back-up' plan if he was still single.
However, rumors of a romance brewing between Pitt and ex-wife Jennifer Aniston that have been making the rounds for quite some time now were further fueled when it was reported that the 'F.R.I.E.N.D.S' star was at the same Vanity Fair party.
Unfortunately, while she was standing very close to Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Martin Scorsese, Lukas Haas and Adele, she wasn't seen explicitly interacting with him.
