Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston did not go to France on a romantic weekend trip, here's what really happened
Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston's relationship has been in the spotlight ever since the couple started dating in 1998 and separated in 2005 after their divorce post-Pitt's scandalous affair with Angelina Jolie.
It's been 15 years since then, but the two continue to make headlines, just like recently when the two hugged at SAG Awards. Fans have always wondered if the two would ever get back together and there is a string of rumors that have been going around for years. However, it could just all be wishful thinking. A year ago, a tabloid named Life & Style claimed that Brad and Jennifer were going to head over for a romantic weekend trip to France.
The reports were totally baseless. According to Gossip Cop, "the outlet had no idea what it was talking about."
What's shocking is that the outlet also quoted a source. “Friends are buzzing that Brad and Jen are already talking about being in love again. He’s ready to take a huge risk and bring Jen to Chateau Miraval — the estate in France that he still owns with [Angelina Jolie],” the groundless story read.
Not just that, the so-called insider also went on to say that Jolie “will be extremely livid if she finds out” about it but “Brad thinks Jen will enjoy the romance and privacy that the chateau offers.”
If that was not enough to send shock waves, it further quoted the source saying, “It doesn’t seem to bother Jen that Angie and Brad lived at Chateau Miraval together. Brad’s showing he’s put in the effort to make the weekend all about Jen and him,” and even said, “I could see Jen giving Angie a piece of her mind if they came face-to-face.”
No matter what source the article claimed to have gotten in touch with, the story is reported to be full of fallacious claims. Gossip Cop has called the article and said that the trip to France was never planned, according to separate reps from both the stars. The magazine has tried to create a wrong image of the stars several times in the past as well.
In May 2017, Gossip Cop busted the same publication for a story on how Brad and Angelina were “secretly” back together. The tabloid wrote that Jolie and Pitt were seeing each other “several times a week” and even went on to report how their “old feelings returned.” Later, a source close to Pitt confirmed that the actor was not back with Jolie, but the two were on 'okay' terms.
Just because two celebrities are trying to be cordial with each other, regardless of their relationship history, it doesn't mean they are back together. Shouldn't there be a total full stop to such baseless articles that are nothing but a work of fiction?
