Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt shocked their fans when they announced their split back in 2005. Yet, despite the initial bitterness and unpleasantness, the two are quite friendly with each other today, to the extent that they reportedly have a "flirtatious but platonic" relationship.

“Brad and Jen have a wonderful connection that might seem flirtatious at times,” a source told Us Weekly. “They dig each other’s sense of humor and have an infectious energy when they’re together, but they insist things are purely platonic and nothing more than that.”

Soon after their split, Brad moved ahead with his 'Mr and Mrs Smith' co-star Angelina Jolie, and the two exchanged marital vows in 2014. However, all was not sunny in Paradise, and they announced their separation in 2016. Jennifer married Justin Theroux in 2015, and they called it quits two years later. Since then, fans have been rooting for Brad and Jennifer to reunite again.

It wasn't much of a secret that Jennifer was a little sore after Brad was spotted at the beach with Angelina and their son Maddox. There had also been reports that Jen threw Brad out on their last holiday as a married couple, as he confessed his feelings for Angelina.

Yet, there's no hint of the old bitterness today. Earlier this year, Brad was spotted at Jennifer's 50th-anniversary bash, and it was said he was the first to arrive and the last to leave. They also met again at Jennifer's holiday party at her Bel-Air home. They're expected to come together again for the Golden Globes 2020.

A different source said they had been in touch for the past few years and talk occasionally. "They don’t talk often but when they do it's very warm and positive. It’s not as big of a deal to them as it is to everyone around them,” a source told E! News.
