Brad Pitt sees Alia Shawkat as a sister, thinks she's one of the 'most beautiful people in the world'
Brad Pitt has reportedly said that he looks at Alia Shawkat as more of a sister and thinks she is one of the most beautiful people in the world.
The comments from the 56-year-old came after several reports alleged that he was dating the ‘Arrested Development’ star.
However, putting rest to all the rumors, Pitt reportedly introduced Shawkat to Jennifer Aniston, his first wife whom he is allegedly dating, to prove that the 30-year-old is just a friend. He also assured her that his relationship with the alleged ex-flame was "purely platonic”.
“Brad thinks Alia is one of the most beautiful people in the world but he looks at her as more of a sister and has come to count her as one of the most important people in his life,” an insider said as reported by Geo TV.
The insider also said that Shawkat’s meeting with Aniston went so well that it embarked on a great friendship. “Alia has also become close to Jen and has even joked that she finds her more attractive than Brad and would rather date her than him, which everyone found hilarious,” the source added.
Despite being 26 years younger than him, Shawkat was linked to the ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ star last year. Last month, the duo was spotted together while ordering burgers at In-N-Out. At the time, Pitt was wearing a brown hooded jacket, teamed with a pair of blue jeans and a fedora, while Shawkat looked chic in a pale pink skirt, which she styled with a hot pink cardigan, socks, and black heeled loafers.
In the past also, they have been spotted together, such as at an art gallery in Los Angeles, and Kanye West’s Nebuchadnezzar opera at the Hollywood Bowl. However, the Academy Award awardee has always maintained that he has not publicly dated anyone since his split from his ex-wife and the mother of his six children Angelina Jolie, 44, in 2016.
On the other hand, rumors of a rekindled love affair between Pitt and Aniston started doing rounds after he graced her 50th birthday bash in 2019. Since then the two have allegedly gone on several secret dates, including a tryst at Aniston's place over Christmas 2019.
During the SAG Awards in January, the duo was also spotted together holding hands backstage. Pitt was also seen mouthing the words "Oh my God" during Aniston's acceptance speech at the SAG Awards. When asked at that time about how she felt seeing Pitt that evening, she sweetly replied, "It just feels like a really fun night to cheer each other on. We’ve all grown up together, we really have."
