While pornography might seem like the last career choice for actresses launched by Disney, it is exactly what 'Boy Meets World' sitcom actress Maitland Ward has chosen.

The 42-year-old star who portrayed the role of Rachel McGuire in the hit nineties sitcom till its sixth season in 2000, recently opened up about her decision to venture into adult films, explaining that it was good scripts more than anything else that made her make the bold move. "They asked me to be a part of this ('Drive'), and I thought, 'I never knew there was anything in adults or porn or whatever that was this well done.' I read the script, and I was like, 'This is really, really well written'," she told In Touch magazine

Maitland is currently signed to adult boutique talent agency Society 15, through which she entered the porn industry. The redhead, who has been posting sizzling, half-naked selfies on social media for years, said that the career change was not a sudden one as she had been thinking about venturing into porn for a long time. It was just that the timing was never right.

The actress went on to sing praises of the feature length 'Drive'.

"This has so many themes in this and just my character is so different than anything I have portrayed before," she said. "I felt ready. It wasn’t like I was saying, 'Oh, I want to do this all along', but it was like, 'I need to do this'. I really feel that quality stuff and the hot sex stuff can be together, and I really want that."

The actress further added that she "doesn't give a f***" about discussing her X-rated role. "I want to be who I am, and I just think as I have matured too, I am who I am," she said.

This does not mean that many of her 680,000 Instagram followers were not taken aback by her career switch. "Is she a porn star???" one user wrote, while another said, "Can not believe I just found out you do porn."
