'Brittney Griner is not a hero': Terence K Williams slams Biden for prioritizing WNBA star over Paul Whelan
OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA: Comedian Terence K Williams, best known for his sarcastic social media commentary and conservative stance on current events, was not pleased with how the White House handled the Brittney Griner case. Terence raged on Twitter, expressing his displeasure at the choice to get Griner released from Russian prison rather than former US Marine Paul Whelan, who has been imprisoned after being captured in Russia in 2018.
He wrote, "Come on, first of all, let's get something straight. Brittney Griner is not a hero. Bouncing a ball does not make you a hero. Bouncing a ball does not make you a role model. So, the White House can miss me for all that crap.”
"They left the marine behind. The marine should have been the first one to come home, the marine is the one who put his life on the line for this country. The marine is the one who put his life on the line for me and you and for Brittney. He should have been the first one on that plane back home,” the comedian remarked.

He continued, “Brittney, what has she done instead of spit on the flag? What has she done apart from the spit on this country? She does not love this country; she hates this country. And we decided to bring her home before the marine, before the one who actually loves this country, the one who actually decided to put his life on the line to fight for you and me and for Brittney.”
“And what did we give Russia in return, a frickin terrorist, an international arms dealer. And don't forget, he was charged with conspiring to kill US citizens and we traded him for her... for her? Get out of here! Make it make sense... you can't, because it doesn't make no damn sense,” Terence remarked.

Several social media users, however, didn't buy Terence’s view on the case as one person wrote, “Problem is Terrence, along with the many of the people here, has never heard or said anything about Whelan before today. Just fake outrage whenever Griner is involved. They could care less about Whelan.” “The marine was in custody in December 28 2018 so please tell me why Trump didn’t free him while in office?” another added.

Biden doesn’t just decide who Russia will give up and who they won’t. The original deal was for Griner AND Whelan for Bout. Russia changed their mind and refused to release Whelan. Can’t make Russia do what they refuse to do.
