The 'other woman': King Charles had 'fling with Camilla look-alike' while dating her AND married to Diana
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: King Charles III was allegedly embroiled in yet another scandal involving infidelity and his second wife Camilla was beyond angry regarding it, a book that was written before Queen Elizabeth II was pronounced dead, has reportedly claimed.
According to RadarOnline, in the book, ‘Prince Charles: The Passions and Paradoxes of Improbable Life’, it was claimed that the King had an affair with businesswoman Sue Townsend while he was still married to Princess Diana and was sleeping with Camilla secretly. According to officials at the palace, Camilla was outraged and humiliated by the bombshell revelation. The insider claimed that she was "absolutely incensed" at the time. She always thought she had Charles completely under control. "He shared her bed for years, before and during his marriage to Diana — and ignored that SHE was married to one of his friends, Andrew Parker-Bowles,” an insider reportedly revealed.

"The idea he had the hots for another woman — especially one described as a younger, prettier Camilla look-alike — sent her into a jealous frenzy," an insider told Radar. "I'm told she exploded when she learned about Sue," the insider continued.
According to reports, Camilla "didn't believe a word and hammered her fists on his chest before storming out" as Charles tried to pass it off as a "casual friendship." The insider stated, "it was quite a sight!" Before taking on the role of director for Charles' Duchy Originals organic food firm, Townsend co-founded the soap brand Crabtree & Evelyn. Townsend never refuted the passionate nature of her relationship with Charles, as per historian Sally Bedell Smith. "I don't think we'll go down that road," Townsend reportedly said, adding, "Yes, we were close, but that was a long time ago." In fact, they were so close, she was introduced to Charles' sister, Princess Anne, enjoyed trips in his Aston Martin convertible and even accompanied him on vacation.
In light of their apparent liaison, Camilla felt betrayed and resentful. "This fling with Sue is driving her crazy," the insider said when the book was published in 2017, adding, "She's out for revenge." Their union managed to endure the drama in some way. Charles was proclaimed king and Camilla was made Queen Consort following the death of the Queen in September at the age of 96. Charles will officially become the King on May 6, after the coronation.
