BOMBSHELL claim that Camilla asked Harry if his child would have 'ginger Afro' has Internet fuming
The Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla, allegedly told Prince Harry it would be "funny" if his unborn mixed-race child had "ginger Afro hair" when he grows up. Author Tom Bower said in his book that Camilla made the comments during a conversation with Harry and his family about his relationship with Meghan Markle. The book that has detailed this conversation is titled 'Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War between the Windsors'.
Bower appeared on 'Good Morning Britain' to discuss his book. On the show, he alleged that Meghan had asked her close ones not to speak with him. "She made it pretty clear to all her friends and people who work for her not to talk to me, so it was quite an uphill struggle but I got enough people to speak to me, more than enough, I got about 80 people," he said. Asked by presenter Ben Shephard how his account could be unbiased if he only interviewed people who disliked Meghan, Bower said, "Because I sifted through, I never put in stuff that isn't true and can't be checked." Meanwhile, the Mirror reported that sources close to Camilla said that the claims were "nonsense".

In a separate interview with Oprah Winfrey, Harry and Meghan had claimed that a member of their family had made a remark on how “dark his skin might be when he’s born” in reference to their first born child, Archie. They had, however, refused to name the individual who had made the comment. "During those weeks, Harry met Charles and Camilla at Clarence House," Bower said. A year later, in 2016, Harry and Meghan announced their engagement. They married at Windsor Castle in the spring the following year.
Although the pair was initially lauded as the new fresh face of the monarchy, they soon began to feel like they were being sidelined. Meghan said in their Oprah interview later that she felt suicidal when she was pregnant with her first child, after being abandoned by the royal family. The couple subsequently quit their royal roles.
Meghan said in the interview that before Archie was born, she and Harry had to face several discussions with members of the royal family about “how dark” their baby could be. “In those months when I was pregnant [there were] concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he was born,” Meghan said in the interview. Harry added: “That conversation, I am never going to share. At the time it was awkward, I was a bit shocked.”
"Four years later, Harry described the aftermath of those conversations as ‘really hard’ and ‘awkward’," Bower claimed in his book. “But none of his previous girlfriends had given up work or been protected by the police. Harry also knew that Charles’s limited income from the Duchy of Cornwall meant the annual allowance to himself would never exceed £1.5 million, a substantial amount by most standards. Finally, in his view, any family speculation about a child’s appearance was (unfortunately) seen by his elders as light-hearted. A conversation with Meghan would change that assumption.”
Camilla is under fire for her comments, with social media users blasting her on Twitter. "Camilla is claimed to have said wouldn't it be 'funny' if Harry and Meghan's child had ginger Afro hair. For starters there's nothing wrong with a child with ginger Afro hair and if she thinks that's funny that says a LOT about her views on black people...," one user wrote on Twitter. "Why do white people think all black men have their hair in Afros? Archie is 3/4 white and his hair is finer than his fathers. Why would his hair be in an Afro? The fighting between Chuck and Will is annoying, each palace accusing the other of what they themselves are doing," another said.

"We have gingers with type 4 hair in my family. A lot of them. Why would Camilla think that was "funny"? Obviously rhetorical as she's said a whole lot about her views on Black people," one user said, while another wrote, "Ginger afro is so cute!!! Camilla, on the hand, need to get new dentures and find a way to stop her skin falling off the bones. She is looking like the walking dead. I said it!" One user said, "This vile "funny" comment made me think of this beautiful doll and every beautiful child with coils of curls of all hair colors-- black, brown, caramel, red or blonde. I've seen children with all of these hair colors in my community who have African ancestry."
