Did Bobby Brown spit on Whitney Houston? Inside the tumultuous marriage of music couple
In a recent episode of 'Red Table Talk' singer and rapper Bobby Brown spoke about the way, according to him, his ex-wife Whitney Houston died and also spoke about the untimely death of his daughter Bobbi Kristina and son Bobby Brown Jr. He had said that he definitely believed that Bobbi Kristina's boyfriend Nick Gordon was the one to provide the drugs to Houston which took her life.
Bobbi Kristina died in 2015 at the age of 22, three years after her mother. The circumstances of her death mirrored that of her mother in a very eerie manner. She was also found in a bathtub very much like her mother and she was in a coma for several months before her death. Brown said that Gordon was found liable in a wrongful death case for the demise of Bobbi Christina.

In the face of this, here's a look at Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston's tumultuous relationship. At the time, there were claims that it was Brown who had introduced Houston to drugs, but he said that he was caught by surprise when he found Houston doing drugs the day that they were getting married.
According to Cheat Sheet, speaking of the first time that Houston met Brown, she had said, "I and some friends of mine were sitting behind him. I was hugging them, we were laughing, and I kept hitting Bobby in the back of the head," and added, "Robyn said, 'Whitney, you keep hittin' Bobby, he's goin' to be mad at you.' I leaned over and said, 'Bobby, I'm so sorry.' And he turned around and looked at me like 'Yeah, well just don't let it happen again.' And I was like 'Oooooh, this guy doesn't like me'."
Moving past this 'meet-cute' as Lara Jean of 'PS: To all the Boys' would term it, they did get together and got married in 1992. Between their marriage and their divorce in 2007, their relationship went through a lot of downs and all of this became tabloid fodder. Speaking of the accusations that Brown was the one to introduce Houston to drugs, Brown said, "I smoked weed, I drank the beer, but no, I wasn't the one that got Whitney on drugs at all. It's just unexplainable how one could, you know, [claim that I] got her addicted to drugs."
After a year of their marriage, Houston and Brown became parents to Bobbi Kristina, but from the very beginning, they had problems. Houston had shared, in an interview with Oprah Winfrey, "He spit on me. He actually spit on me. And my daughter was coming down the stairs and she saw that." Brown also spoke about how his daughter was a witness to their disastrous marriage and said, "how much quality time can you spend with your daughter when you're high all the time? I would get really mad at Whitney, scream and yell that I wanted a divorce. This went on for years and years. Our daughter saw it all. When I think about now, I just feel enormous pain. We failed her."
Of course, by appearing together on the reality show 'Being Bobby Brown', they provided more fodder and a different perspective to their relationship. Their reputation that was already on shaky grounds was dragged down even further.
