The final hours of Bob Saget’s life have taken yet another mysterious turn with the actor’s friends and family reportedly denying claims that he complained about Covid symptoms before his death. The 'Full House' star died on January 9 at the age of 65, with police investigators believing that he may have died after hitting his head on a headboard inside his Florida hotel room.

As per new audio clips of the crew, Rosalie Cocci, a showrunner at the venue Saget performed his final stand-up tour, the night before his death, revealed to police that Bob wasn’t feeling well that night. “He [Bob Saget] said he had long term Covid, and it was taking his body a long time to get over it,” Cocci told investigators. “He said that his hearing had been off and that was the case that night. He was asking the sound guys to turn everything up. And [he said] that he had been sick the night before – his hearing was off, and he had a sore throat. He was happy he had lozenges for the stage."

Cocci continued, “I did hear him say, ‘I don’t feel good but I’m ready to do the show. This is what I do this for’”. She added that he seemed to be talking himself up. Cocci said, “He seemed okay. He was cracking jokes. He wasn’t sweating, he didn’t miss a beat, nothing slurred…He came out very energetic.” The interviews of the crew members were conducted by Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Kevin Stone, 44, vice president for the Forum Theatre in Jacksonville, was also present at Bob’s final tour at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in Florida. Stone reportedly told police that Saget became emotional while performing when he saw a father with three daughters among the audience members. Stone said, “He kind of teared up. He reminded Bob of him and his three daughters.”

However, one of Saget’s best friends reportedly told TMZ that he was in touch with the comedian almost daily and there was no mention of him battling with long Covid. The actor's friend also said that Saget never showed any symptoms of being ill. Meanwhile, Saget’s family attorney also said Bob Saget's wife, Kelly Rizzo, spoke to the actor the day he died and he never mentioned being sick or having hearing issues.

Saget family’s attorney, Brian H Bieber, issued a statement on behalf of Bob Saget's widow Kelly Rizzo on Thursday, March 24, stating that Kelly stands by the medical examiner's report. "The records released tell the entire story — that is, Bob passed away after a fall and hitting his head in his hotel room," Brian said. "Now that the medical examiner’s and police department’s records have been released after their respective thorough investigations, the Saget family would appreciate privacy to mourn in peace."
