'Blindspot' Season 5 Episode 11: Will Jane and Weller get the happy ending they deserve in finale?
After enthralling us for over five years, 'Blindspot' is coming to an end on July 23. Clearly, the makers intend to keep information about the finale under wraps as there is not much to say about the synopsis either. In the previous episode, Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) got presumably zipped. In other words, the Blindspot life has come full circle and Jane has lost her memories again. Does this mean that the Jane-Weller story has come to an end?
The synopsis of the 100th and final episode reads: "The remaining team tries to solve a case." Well, you can try to glean as much information as you can from that. The promos don't tell us anything either. We just see flashbacks of Jane from the very beginning when she was found in a body bag with tattoos and no memory. However, in one brief promo, it appears that the remaining team might not get their jobs back, even though Ivy Sands remains a threat.
Arla tells Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton), Patterson (Ashley Johnson), Tasha (Audrey Esparza) and Rich Dotcom (Ennis Esmer), "You’ve all been through a lot, but so has the bureau. This office has had its fill of tumult and aspersions. We need a reset — a new director, a new beginning." They're all getting immunity deals, which indicates that they don't have to pay legal consequences for the events of the past few months, so it can't be all that bad.
There's a lot to resolve in this final episode. For starters, fans are waiting to know if Jane and Weller will finally get the happy ending they deserve and will we get to see Tasha's baby. Heck, fans are also rooting for a happy ending for Patterson, as they continue to root for her and Rich. In the previous episode, Madeline Burke (Mary Elizabeth) killed herself to avoid falling into the team's hands and providing information about the ZIP whereabouts. Meanwhile, Jane gets trapped in a room and is zipped, while Weller just watches in shock from the outside.
Tune in to all the action of 'Blindspot' on Thursday, NBC at 9 pm.
