Cheers! Blake Shelton turns 42 with a giant bottle of booze cake and his girlfriend Gwen Stefani by his side
Blake Shelton turned 42 on Monday (June 18) and the singer was showered with love and surprises from his close ones. The singer took to Instagram to share the picture of his birthday cake and it sure looked delicious. The cake was shaped as a giant bottle of booze and was given to the singer by Smithworks Vodka, whom Blake is a partner with. Blake was all smiles as he showed off his enormous birthday cake.
He even took a big bite off the top of the "bottle". Meanwhile, Gwen Stefani took to Instagram to let the fans in on how the singer was planning to celebrate his birthday. For Blake, the celebrations started early as the series of Instagram stories taken by Gwen showed the singer being surrounded by his father, brother, and other loved ones. With the birthday boy in the middle, everyone surrounded him and cheered him on.
Meanwhile, Gwen broke into singing 'Happy birthday' for her lovely boyfriend. "Bday weekend has begun!!” she captioned the clip, in which she sang, “Happy birthday dear Blakey!” She did not forget to capture the expression Blake had on his face as she kept zooming in to capture the perfect shot of the star of the evening. Gwen also took to Instagram to share a selfie of the duo with a white heart around it.
As reported by People, Blake along with his friends and family took off for Oklahoma where the celebrations continued. The family enjoyed the day by the lake and at the pool. Meanwhile, Gwen took a picture of the gift she had given Blake on his birthday. The two were all smiles as they took the perfect snap in front of a new flagpole on Blake's property, which was also the gift given to him by the singer.
Prior to his birthday, Blake had spent time with Gwen and his kids. The couple got together with the kids to celebrate Father's Day. At the same time, she also took Blake to meet her dad, Dennis Stefani. Blake showed his love for Gwen's dad with a hug and a kiss on his cheeks. Gwen and Blake have also given rise to rumors of a possible wedding in the future.
While the two have admitted that marriage is on their mind, they insist it will not happen any time soon. Talking to CMT, Blake confessed that he does plan on marrying Gwen one day and marriage is something that he had been thinking about. “I think about [marrying her],” he confessed. "I don’t think it’s anytime soon or anything,” he added. “The more time that goes by, I guess, the closer you’d be getting to that.” To make things even better, Gwen has also been thinking about marriage with Blake.
