As singer Gwen Stefani turned 50 on Thursday, October 3, her boyfriend, country musician Blake Shelton, 43, was one of the first ones to wish her, taking to Twitter to express his undying love for his girlfriend.

"Happy Birthday @gwenstefani!!!! I love you so much it’s actually stupid... And possibly illegal in the state of California," the 'God's Country' singer tweeted

The two fell for each other on the set of 'The Voice' nearly four years ago and have been dating ever since. They waited for seven months before they went public with their relationship because of the respective ongoing turmoils in their personal lives.

While Gwen had worked through her divorce with Gavin Rossdale, Blake was still in the process of splitting up from wife Miranda Lambert.

The 'Hollaback Girl' singer had three kids from her first marriage - Kingston, 13, Zuma, 10, and Apollo, five. Last month, she opened up on the 'Today' show about how wonderful Blake had been with her children.

"He is a good dad, actually," she said. "He's been helping me out a lot, so I literally get to the point where I'm like, 'You gotta get home, I need help.' It's hard. I got three boys." During the same interview, she admitted that she had never imagined that she would end up with Blake as their personalities were vastly different from each other.

"I just never thought in my wildest dreams, on paper, a cowboy and a ska-like girl from Anaheim would be hanging out, but it works perfect and we’re just having so much fun," she said. "And we just feel so blessed to be at this point in our live."

Last year, she also gushed about him while speaking to GMA. "He's my homeboy. He's my homey. He's just really an amazing all-around human so I feel so grateful for that. He's inspired me so much. He's changed my life," she said.
