Blackpink announces the release of 'Born Pink'

This album will be released a month after Blackpink's pre-release single 'Pink Venom', which will drop on August 19. Fans have already set out comeback goals for the upcoming single, aiming to hit 60 to 80 million views within 24 hours of the release of its music video. The album is meaningful for fans and is set to have not one but two music videos.

YG Entertainment reported that they have prepared two music videos for Blackpink's upcoming comeback. Both have higher production budgets compared to the labels' past music videos. The label also released a teaser image for Blackpink's second regular album, 'Born Pink', where the title appeared in gray color with pink metallic fangs on a light gray background with the date '2022.09.16' engraved on a sharp shiny metal-textured font. YG Entertainment explained that the album name 'Born Pink' represents Blackpink's dignity and confidence, which has had a unique presence since the girl group's inception.

Blackpink's upcoming comeback set to break records

Blackpink's last album, 'The Album' from 2020, made a record-breaking entry into Billboard 200 at Number 1. It is expected that their upcoming album will yield similar results immediately upon its release. In the past, Blackpink was able to rank only as high as Number 13 on Billboard's main songs chart 'Hot 100', with the group's 2020 release 'Ice Cream', released in collaboration with American pop sensation Selena Gomez.

Now, with more attention being paid to Blackpink after their long hiatus of almost two years, the upcoming single 'Pink Venom' is expected to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart soon after its release. Specific details about the comeback album 'Born Pink', such as its tracklist or information about songs, are not known so far but it has been revealed that their PUBG single 'Ready For Love' will also be a part of their second LP releasing on September 19.
