Who is BKBpole? Rapper, 16, claims racial profiling led to 'White' Sanford residents trashing his car

In a video on Instagram, BKBpole shared how the rear window seat of his car was broken and one of the doors of his vehicle got damaged

A 16-year-old rapper known as BKBpole recently claimed that he was racially profiled by two white folks when he was driving through his friend’s neighborhood. The teen hip-hop artist took to Instagram to share a video where two men from a wealthy Florida neighborhood can be seen coming at the young musician.
 
BKBpole, in the video, shared how the rear window seat of his car was broken and one of the doors of his vehicle got damaged. TMZ has identified the men as Howard Hughes and Donald Corsi. They are accused of throwing a large rock through a rear window in the car. The incident took place in Sanford County, the same area where Trayvon Martin, 17, was killed in 2012. Speaking of public figures getting racially profiled, rappers like Polo G, and Yung Bleu had faced a similar situation in the past. Poet and activist Amanda Gorman too was racially profiled in March 2021.

Who is BKBpole?

BKBpole is a Black rapper whose real name is Jermaine Jones. He has an Instagram account where he enjoys close to 35K followers. The rapper has also opened another Instagram account where he buys, sells, and swaps high-end and limited-edition footwear.
 
The teen artist on his Instagram profile shared a video where two men can be seen angrily shouting at him using profanities. They told him he did not belong in their Sanford, FL neighborhood. A huge rock was hurled at the rapper’s car that was visible in the video. According to TMZ, cops were called to the scene and the two men were arrested and booked on criminal charges.

Was BKBpole racially profiled?

Taking to his Instagram, BKBpole captioned the video, “I was racially profiled while driving through my friends neighborhood. They didn’t like the way I was driving, so they felt the need to hit my car with a cone, and throw a rock through my window.” He added, “All I wanted to do was de-escalate until police came, because I wasn’t about to get charges pressed on me for no reason.”
 
BKBpole also opened a GoFundMe page in order to get his car repaired. Explaining what exactly happened, the teen rapper asserted, “Me and my friend were driving through my friend’s neighborhood with plans on staying the night. However, a resident didn’t like the way I was driving and decided to take it upon himself to hit my car with a traffic cone” adding, “The resident’s friend also approaches my car with a large boulder and throws it through my window, while me and my friend were still in the car.”
