Bill Murray, 72, is dating 'Milkshake' singer Kelis, 43, friend says 'they've clearly hit it off'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bill Murray is dating ‘Milkshake’ singer Kelis, according to latest reports. The rumors began spreading after Murray attended Kelis' performance at a recent show at Mighty Hoopla festival in South London over the weekend. He was also there at her other events too in recent times. As per sources, the two were spotted in the same hotel multiple times and were “getting close for a while.”
A friend reportedly told The Sun, “They’ve met up in the States before which got people in the industry talking, and now are meeting up in London while they’re both here. They’ve clearly hit it off. They were both seen at the same hotel, and he’s been to watch her perform several times before he went to Mighty Hoopla. But they also both shared relatively recent bereavements and have that common bond between them." The friend added, "Whatever it is that has brought them together, and however unlikely it seems, they are both single and are having fun despite the fairly big age gap.”
'Very hands-on touchy'
Murray has been in the news for a few controversies lately, the first one being hurling a glass ashtray at his co-star Richard Dreyfuss. He was also accused of threatening to ‘throw’ one of the producers ‘across a parking lot.'
There were also allegations that he had been ‘touchy’ with several women while filming Aziz Ansari’s flick. “He was very hands-on and touchy, not in any personal areas, but put an arm around a woman, touched her hair, pulled her ponytail — but always in a comedic way. It is a fine line and everybody loves Bill, but while his conduct is not illegal, some women felt uncomfortable and he crossed a line,” as per a source.
'I did something I thought was funny'
Later, in an interview with CNBC, Murray addressed the case. “I had a difference of opinion with a woman I’m working with. I did something I thought was funny, and it wasn’t taken that way.” Murray’s ex-wife Jennifer Butler ended their 11-year marriage in 2008 accusing the ‘Lost in Translation’ star of domestic abuse, infidelity, marijuana abuse, and alcohol addictions.
On the other hand, Kelis lost her husband Mike Mora to stomach cancer. She was later married to Nas, but split in 2009 and accused the rapper of being emotionally and physically abusive.
