'Big Bang Theory' star Johnny Galecki, 43, announces he's expecting first child with girlfriend Alaina Meyer
Johnny Galecki and girlfriend Alaina Meyer are going to be parents!
'The Big Bang Theory' actor Johnny Galecki recently revealed that he and his girlfriend Alaina Meyer are expecting their first child. Taking to his Instagram account, Galecki announced saying, "We are absolutely over the moon to announce that we will soon be welcoming a little one into this crazy and wonderful world."
Continuing he said, "We ask that you please respect our privacy during this celebratory time for us and our families. There truly is love out there for all. We hope ours is the ember of yours, as we feel yours is the ember of ours."
The happy news was accompanied by two photos of the happy couple including one of the parents-to-be sharing a hug on the beach. Now as 'The Big Bang Theory' is coming to an end, the 43-year-old actor is getting ready to start a new chapter in his life.
The couple went public with their romance in September 2018. They made their award show debut later the same year in November at the E! People’s Choice Awards 2018 in Santa Monica.
In December 2018 Meyer shut down rumors that claimed she was pregnant after fans speculated on it on Instagram. Recently Galecki uploaded a picture of the duo with their arms wrapped around each other and both wearing rings on their ring finger. While that led to speculations that the couple could be married, Meyer shut down rumors once again.
She posted the same photo that Galecki had shared and captioned the image, “#notmarried.” Ever since they debuted with their romance, the couple has not shied away from posting pictures on their Instagram accounts.
Previously, the BBT star dated co-star Kaley Cuoco. Apart from dating for two years, the couple also plays each other's partners on the series. The couple split up in 2009 and Cuoco went on to marry Ryan Sweeting the pro tennis player in 2013 December.
After Cuoco and Sweeting split, she went on to get married for a second time with Karl Cook the equestrian in June 2018. Galecki also dated 'Roseanne' co-star Sara Gilbert while he appeared on the show in the 1990s.
Galecki plays the role of scientist Leonard Hofstadter in the series The Big Bang Theory. The long-run series is currently in its final season and set to air with its last episode on May 16, 2019.
