Beyonce showed up fashionably late to the Golden Globes on January 5 night.

The 38-year-old 'Single Ladies' singer skipped the red carpet but arrived at the event with her husband Jay-Z, an hour after it had started. The couple was seen accompanied by their bodyguard who appeared to be carrying their own bottles of some very expensive champagne, Ace of Spades.

The champagne brand has been produced by Armand de Brignac of which Jay-Z had purchased a $200million stake in 2017. Moët&Chandon was one of the official sponsors at the Golden Globes. Beyonce was seen sporting a showstopping gown that featured a plunging neckline and was black and gold.

The sleeveless black gown featured two oversized gold puffy shoulders. These were tucked into a high-waisted black floor-length piece which accentuated her stunning curves. She had accessorized the look with a pair of shiny diamond chandelier earrings. Meanwhile Jay-Z looked dapper in a sharp suit.

The couple had arrived around an hour late to the show after missing out on the red carpet. According to a witness, the couple were seen arriving at the event when Kate McKinnon was presenting talk show host Ellen DeGeneres with the Carol Burnett Award for Achievement in Television.

Beyonce also received a nomination for Best Original Song for 'Spirit' from 'The Lion King'. However, she lost to 'I'm Gonna Love Me Again' from 'Rocketman'. The other nominees included 'Unknown' from 'Frozen II', 'Stand Up' from 'Harriet' and 'Beautiful Ghosts' from 'Cats'. The song was featured on 'The Lion King' soundtrack and also 'The Lion King: The Gift' which she had curated.

Queen Bey had previously been nominated in the same category for 'Once In a Lifetime' from 'Cadillac Records' in 2008 and in 2006 for 'Listen' from 'Dreamgirls'. She had also received Best Actress – Motion Picture Comedy or Musical nomination for her role as Deena in the movie 'Dreamgirls'.
