After competing with hundreds of teenagers, a Central New York kid is making his movie debut. Rueby Wood, a 15-year-old actor from Oswego County, plays Nate Foster, a child from Pittsburgh who dreams of becoming a huge Broadway star, in the upcoming Disney+ movie musical 'Better Nate Than Ever.'

Despite being placed as a tree in the chorus of his middle school musical, Nate feels he is meant for more and, without his parents' knowledge, travels to New York City with his closest friend Libby to audition for the Musical Play. Rueby Wood

Rueby Wood is a 15-year-old actor, singer, and dancer from Oswego County, who played Charlie in 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' first national Broadway tour (2018-2019). His performances include Michael Banks in 'Mary Poppins' and other parts in community and regional theatre in and around Central New York (Syracuse Stage, 2016-2017).



 

Rueby's credits also include voice work in a range of digital media. He enjoys writing and editing short films in his spare time. Rueby has been leading the lifestyle and eccentricities of his fans with a tremendous fan base on his social media platforms. His dashing appearance has gained him international acclaim and gaining admiration from industry insiders. The flame that fueled him to pursue his aspirations and passion was his enthusiasm for his profession and his desire to build a place for himself in life.

Joshua Bassett

Joshua T Bassett is an actor and singer. He is most recognized for his main role in 'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' as Ricky Bowen. Born and brought up in Oceanside, California, Joshua has been in over thirty musical theatre shows and starred in countless commercials and short films from the age of seven. He has five sisters who are also active in the theatre. He enjoys being in front of the camera as well as behind it whenever feasible.



 

Lisa Kudrow

Lisa Kudrow is an actress, comedian, writer, and producer who has worked in various roles. Kudrow rose to worldwide popularity in the 1990s after starring as Phoebe Buffay in the American comedy 'Friends,' which aired from 1994 to 2004. Her Primetime Emmy and Screen Actors Guild awards came from the series. In both 'Friends' and 'Mad About You,' Kudrow played Phoebe's twin sister Ursula. Kudrow has been nominated for various honors, including a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a Golden Globe Award nomination. Her 'Friends' role was a huge hit during the show's run and was afterward hailed as one of the best female characters ever seen on American television.



 

Aria Brooks

Aria Brooks, an Atlanta native, pursues her love of acting through the arts. She enjoys singing, dancing, acting, and writing songs and stories. She began her career in musical theatre at the age of six and chose to pursue a career in on-camera acting at the age of ten. She has subsequently been signed to renowned agencies and is most recognized for her role in Nickelodeon's 'All That' revival. Aria also featured in Dolly Parton's 'Heartstrings' on Netflix, starring Cynthia Erivo in the award-winning film 'Harriet.'



 

Norbert Leo Butz

Norbert Leo Butz is an actor and singer. He is well-known for his work on 'Broadway'. He is a two-time Tony Award winner for Best Actor in a musical, and one of just nine actors in history to win the award twice as the lead actor. Butz portrayed Craig Maddox in the NBC drama series 'Debris,' penned by JH Wyman, in 2021.



 

'Better Nate Than Ever' will premiere on Disney+ on April 1, 2022.
