Ben Affleck spotted with daughter Seraphina after pal Matt Damon reveals all their high school theater secrets
SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA: On June 8, Ben Affleck, the renowned A-list actor, was spotted in Santa Monica, California, enjoying lunch with his daughter Seraphina. In contrast to wife Jennifer Lopez, who is always immaculately styled in public, Affleck, 50, kept it casual.
He was seen wearing a black and blue shadow plaid western shirt paired with dark blue jeans held up by a black belt. He completed his look with black and white Nike sneakers and sported a beard during their daytime outing in Southern California. His daughter, Seraphina, who is 14 years old, opted for a black t-shirt adorned with a multicolored graphic on the front, along with blue jeans and white sneakers. She rocked a shaggy black hairdo during their outing.
Ben Affleck is approaching one-year anniversary with Jennifer Lopez
Affleck shares three children with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, who is 51 years old. Their children include daughters Violet, 17, and Seraphina, as well as their son Samuel, 11. On the other hand, Lopez is a mother to twins Emme and Maximilian, who are 15 years old, from her previous marriage to Marc Anthony. Nearly a year has passed since Affleck and Lopez exchanged vows in a Las Vegas ceremony on July 16. They later held a wedding ceremony on August 20 at Affleck's estate near Savannah, Georgia.
Damon lorded over Affleck when he joined school's theater group
Recently, Affleck's longtime friend and frequent co-star, Matt Damon, aged 52, shared an amusing story about their high school days in Massachusetts during an appearance on the 'SmartLess: On the Road' podcast, where he joined Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett.
“When he arrived at the high school, I had to set him straight 'cause I was the lord of that theater department," Damon said. He continued, “I went up to him, like, on the first day and pulled him up and was like, 'Hey, you know it's different here in the theater'." Damon said he told Affleck, “You're not gonna get by on your looks," adding, "And we were both like, 5-foot-2."
‘He was like the big star of our school’
During the 'SmartLess: On the Road podcast', Matt Damon revealed that Ben Affleck had already gained a significant amount of attention in their high school days due to his appearance in a 1986 ABC afterschool special. Damon jokingly mentioned that Affleck was considered the "big star of our school."
Their friendship and collaboration extended beyond their school days. In 1992, they both starred in the film 'School Ties'. However, it was in 1997 that they truly broke out with the critically acclaimed film 'Good Will Hunting', which they co-wrote. It earned them the Oscar for Best Screenplay.
Since then, the duo has continued to work together on various projects. They appeared in films like 'Dogma' (1999), 'Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back' (2001), 'The Last Duel' (2021), and the Nike film 'Air', which was released this year. Their collaboration has spanned multiple decades and has resulted in several memorable films.
