IT'S OVER! Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus split days after he's spotted with Playboy model Shauna Sexton
Ben Affleck and producer Lindsay Shookus have split after dating for a year. The news of the breakup comes days after the actor was spotted leaving a restaurant with 'Playboy' model Shauna Sexton a day after he celebrated his 46th birthday. Shookus deleted her Instagram account after Affleck's date with the Sexton made headlines.
A source has now told Us Weekly that Affleck and Shookus have split after more than a year of dating. Meanwhile, another source added that their relationship had been "tumultuous".
Affleck and Shookus went public with their romance in July 2017. “They were not casually dating — they were having a full-blown affair,” a source told Us Weekly. They moved into a New York City apartment together in November 2017. They were last spotted together in Puerto Rico in late July.
On August 16, the 'Argo' actor was spotted with 'Playboy' model Shauna Sexton, who is 26 years younger, at Nobu restaurant in Malibu, California. Affleck and Sexton also grabbed a bite at Jack in the Box in Santa Monica on Sunday, August 19. A source told Us Weekly that the model returned to her rumored beau’s home later that night and stayed over.
The date surprised many because Affleck had been dating 'Saturday Night Live' producer Lindsay Shookus ever since he parted ways with Jennifer Garner with whom he shares three children.
Although the couple had announced their separation back in June 2015, they are still not officially divorced as Garner wants to give Affleck the "time and opportunity to work on his health and sobriety," as mentioned by a source. The two are probably holding off the divorce for the concern of their children: 12-year-old Violet, nine-year-old Seraphina, and six-year-old Samuel.
It was only last month that People confirmed Affleck's relationship with Shookus. A source told the outlet, "They are spending time together in L.A. Lindsay is staying at Ben’s new house. They had dinner at Giorgio Baldi last night. They arrived in a limo. They looked happy. They had a quick dinner and then returned to Ben’s house.” However, it seems that things are now ending with Shookus after a moving van was spotted in front of the actor's $19 million Pacific Palisades mansion on August 9.
