'Below Deck' Season 8 is bringing in the heat with a brand new crew. It's usually a welcome change when new people join forces to serve the charter guests but this time the team is finding it tough to mesh. There seems to be a disconnect, which is stopping the charter from going smoothly. But that also has to do with how demanding the guests are.

Francesca Rubi, the chief stewardess, has replaced the experienced season regular Kate Chastain this year. Even though she has been trying her best to cope up with the pressure but day one was absolutely disastrous with the guests coming down to the bar and galley to speed up process of delivering drinks and food to their table.

She is also having a hard time getting Isabelle 'Izzy' Wouters to work because she is a tad slow and been wanting to switch to the deck. Therefore, her mind's elsewhere and she's finding it tough to match up to the pace.

At the end of the day, when Captain Lee Rosbach called Francesca do understand her assessment of the first day, she teared up before she could say anything. Fans observed that the Captain could have been a little more empathetic rather than saying: "There's no crying in yachting."

Meanwhile, fans feel the Captain must be missing Kate and perhaps, is finding it tough to develop a working relationship with his existing crew.

"Captain Lee needs to be a bit more empathetic. He sees the guests are high maintenance, he already lost a crew member and it’s the first charter. This immediate scrutiny is ridiculous when Francesca is working her ass off while her third stew leisurely walks around. #BelowDeck," a fan tweeted, while another commented: "for someone who did nothing but sit on their ass all day, Captain Lee is mighty unhelpful #BelowDeck."

I love him, but Captain Lee will always compare any chief stew to Kate, and that's not fair bc not everyone can be so rigid and cold. #BelowDeck," a viewer expressed. "Francesca it’s going to be a looong season. Captain Lee is definitely missing Kate! #BelowDeck," another posted.
