From being the shy, new boy on the yacht to fixing a mechanical error with a little help from crew hand, Parker McCown of 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' has gone from strength to strength. He is no longer taking orders and not the reserved mentee who would wait for his superiors on the yacht who'd give him directions on how to wind up his task.

The change in behavior was for the good but didn't happen overnight. In a chat with MEA WorldWide (MEAWW), the yachtie told us that small things can come to bother you when living on a boat.

"I think once I started to get more comfortable on the boat, people's particular attitudes towards me would be frustrating at times you know. I still knew that I had a lot to learn but once you're comfortable in your workplace, other little things can start to bother you because now you know the comfortable area," McCown elaborated.

But he wasn't alone on the boat who had to deal with a lot work-wise. Madison Stalker too was in the same boat, literally and figuratively. She would often find herself at the receiving end of chief stewardess Jenna MacGillivray's snarky comments if and when her work wasn't done perfectly. Maybe, constant criticism formed the basis of Stalker and McCown's friendship?

"I think we were just you know in similar positions on the boat in the hierarchy and that definitely brought us closer and I think we just get along naturally as friends. So, I think it was nice to have somebody to lean towards and discuss common likes or dislikes with," McCown elaborated.

Even though it's sweet to know how much he values his bond with Stalker, this statement completely diffuses any and all chances there were for him and Stalker to be an item. Over time she has developed a strong liking for him, but McCown seems to be hung up on his ex, Kaiti, whom he also invites to join him on his sailing adventures in and around Corfu, Greece.

In the coming episodes, McCown's experience on the yacht is going to change for sure (If Kaiti decides to join the Maryland-raised boy) but nothing will probably beat the luxury he was able to live and breathe in the six weeks that he shot for Bravo's 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht.' But that didn't distract from the job at hand. He continued to lap up learning opportunities, which helped him be such a professional.

This one time, he was out on a boat to recce snorkeling spots where charter guests could go diving, to watch fish and such. On his way, the boat broke down and he figured the sand filter had been clogged from all the sand and debris it had collected. He sought Byron Hissey's assistance to get it fixed.

"So, from the previous day it had gotten a bunch of sand and Padget and Byron should have probably checked the sand filter but they didn't hence the boat could have broken down and I'm glad I caught it when it did," McCown shared and added that it was indeed one of the biggest technical mishaps he was a part of.

Living on a yacht seems easy. Hefty tip, cruising through miles of deep, blue sea, and visiting scenic locations — what's not to love. But the job comes with its share of challenges — demanding guests and absolutely no private space. But, McCown isn't the one to make a big deal about it. However, he does feel living in such "close quarters" with each other and that too constantly is "a lot."

But, like every regular person, McCown had his trigger as well. Even though he is quite supportive of workplace romance, Jenna and Adam Glick's sweet nothings and fierce fights had started to come in the way of work.  "You know that happens a lot in yachting especially when you're with somebody else on a boat for so long it happens it's only human. So, I totally support you know love in the workplace but I think in Jenna and Adam's case, it was detrimental to the workflow," he pointed out and added that he wished they weren't such "negative nancies" to each other.
