'Below Deck': Will Jenna and Adam not 'touching' each other help serve guests better? Captain Glenn thinks so
Jenna MacGillivray and Adam Glick's relationship has been the talk of 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' for most of the season. Their public displays of affection have bothered most of the crew but Captain Glenn Shephard has noticed the change in team dynamics only now. After he asked Ciara Duggan and Madison Stalker for their opinion on the couple skipping work to spend time with each other, he wished to speak with Jenna about the matter.
At the debriefing, he mentioned the service has gone down a few notches and even though he didn't mention names, it was an indirect comment at Jenna taking a break during work while Madison and Ciara filled in for her. Workplace relationships can be tricky and get in the way of assignments if not handled correctly. Adam and Jenna have had their share of rough patches and they want to make it a thing of past, move on and make good memories. That's understandable. But, as people in leadership positions, they must also take care of whether or not this new approach is sitting well with the rest of the crew.
Glenn called out Jenna for the unprofessional behavior, requested that she water down the romance a bit. In her defense, she planned the charter really well so that the guests were happy and implied that she wouldn't be careless enough to just leave work and spend time with Adam. "But, it was also that you and Adam were on a break at the same time so that you and Adam can go and chill out together. That's drawing attention. And I have seen things," Glenn said and reacting to his comment, Jenna assured that she and Adam weren't having sex on the counter.
The conversation concluded with Jenna specifically asking Glenn if she and Adam should not "touch" each other but he said they should tone it down so that they are able to wind down the last charter smoothly.
