Rayna claims Jake is 'aggressive', 'Below Deck' fans say he's doing his job

Crew romances hardly ever end well, and nobody knows this better than 'Below Deck' fans. Season 9 of the bravo's hit show might just be four episodes old, but the new set of crew members are already having their eyes on each other. Ever since they first laid their eyes on one other, sparks began flying between deck team members Jake Foulger and Rayna Lindsey.

Jake wasted no time in making his moves on Rayna. The flirty deckhand played the game perfectly and by the end of their first charter, Rayna and Jake were busy making out with each other. It looks like lady luck was smiling upon Jake, as he not only managed to win over Rayna's heart but also got promoted to lead deckhand towards the end of the first charter. After Captain Lee Rosbach and first officer, Eddie Lucas gave him the promotion they expressed how they believed in him and asked him to not let the team down. Jake happily accepted it and promised to do his best.

When Jake broke this big news to the crew, they were all happy for him, especially Rayna. She felt that since she had kissed him and they were having a moment with each other, his promotion could be used to her advantage. Unfortunately for Rayna, she soon realized that Jake wasn't one for favoritism and treated all his team members equally. The recently aired episode of 'Below Deck' featured Rayna and Jake locking horns when Jake began pushing Rayna to do her job properly. As the newly promoted lead deckhand, Jake wanted to prove that he could be a good leader and urged his team to do their job properly and efficiently. When he began commanding orders upon Rayna, she got very offended and felt that he was being 'disrespectful' and 'aggressive' towards her.

Jake asked Rayna to pull her weight and chip in with the teamwork, but she didn't take to his suggestions well and instead went to Eddie and complained about Jake's behavior. She expressed how Jake was being abrasive towards her and declared that she wouldn't tolerate his disrespect. Eddie tried pacifying the situation by pointing out how Jake is still trying to fit in his new role and that he was doing a fantastic job with the team. 

Fans too took Eddie and Jake's side and slammed Rayna for her false accusations against Jake. Fans felt that Jake was just doing his job and that she was over-reacting. A fan tweeted, "Rayna kissed Jake and she expects him to not do his job? He got promoted girl. Get your shit together. It aint that deep why you going full psycho? #BelowDeck." "Rayna is being so extra just because Jake (the lead deckhand) is doing his job! #BelowDeck," wrote a fan. Another fan added, "Jake didn't say anything disrespectful to Rayna...work is work & he's her superior now. #BelowDeck." "Rayna Rayna Rayna Jake wasn’t overly aggressive. I think you thought since you guys kissed you’d have it easy & then found out you actually have to work #belowdeck," pointed out a fan.

Another fan shared, "Jake has not done anything to Rayna except tell her what she needs to do and calling her out on when she's not doing it. Is this her first job? #BelowDeck." "Rayna flipped on Jake real quick! She's just mad that he is treating her the same as the others- I guess making out with anyone on your 1st night out didn't give you any special treatment #BelowDeck," echoed a fan. "Is Rayna serious right now ? She’s mad cause Jake didn’t treat her with favoritism ? #belowDeck," expressed an amused fan.
